  1. Can we just ban him now please? Merely getting in the way.
  2. What the fuck is he on about now? Seriously
  3. Come on now, surely you can do better than this?
  4. If anything a lot of us are perhaps too pessimistic and critical of the club and our general standing. The fact that people generalise about any set of fans is beyond my comprehension. Milwall fans aren't thugs - just a minority of them are. Chelsea fans aren't all white men with plenty of cash in the bank. Liverpool fans don't all have a victim complex. And very few Newcastle fans can be called deluded. I think a few idiots heard a Toon fan say something 'deluded' on a vox pop on SSN, and then over time spread it around that all NUFC fans think they've a divine right to be in Europe etc.
  5. Same. In fact I didn't even begin to celebrate that offside goal yesterday. At first glance - in real time - I thought it was offside. Wasn't surprised at all to see the flag up. Which made it doubly annoying to realise that it was in fact onside. See a lot of people on here and off here pointing out how Sunderland should have had a pen or two as if that cancels out the offside goal. Doesn't work like that.
  6. There's actually a difference between reading posts on a forum, and signing up to one, creating a thread to gloat, and continuing to post despite being shot down at every turn. Enjoy the win - let's face it, it was going to happen one day.
  7. Quote a single NUFC fan saying any of the above. Go on.
  8. Says the guy who came on a forum just to gloat and post one-sided comments.
  9. Pardew seems to play players on his reputation, not on logic (as in what you've just said yourself). Like he has to fit Jonas in somewhere, Tiote has to play regardless of the match or his form etc. He doesn't adapt the team a lot. Only Krul, Colo, Debuchy, a fit Ben Arfa, and Cisse should feel they will start every match. The rest shouldn't be guaranteed a.place in the first 11 at the moment, although that's a bit unfair of me with regards to Yanga-Mbiwa.
  10. You're joking. That is shocking. We must average a good 4-5 corners a game too. I just don't think it gets any attention whatsoever on the training field. I don't get the impression Cabaye practices corners at all. Marveaux is a little better at them but not massively so.
  11. The set piece thing is beyond a joke now. Like I said in the match thread I expect nothing out of set pieces unless they're free kicks in goal-scoring range. Never feel excited about corners or free kicks in threatening positions. I struggle to understand how the likes of Cabaye can mess them up so much. Ryan Taylor is the only set piece taker I trust to put in a good delivery. And it's not just a delivery thing - outside of floating one to Williamson and Steven Taylor winding keepers up we appear to have no discernable specific tactics for certain scenarios outside of hoping someone gets their head on it. Off the ball movement is lacking. When was the last time we scored from a corner (even on the second ball)?
  12. I feel less comfortable about our chances now than I did 2 years ago when I got stick from all corners for worrying about our chances of staying up.
  13. I don't dare look on there. I imagine this is the best day in many of their lives.
  14. Pardew isn't good enough but replacing him will always be a risk because there's so few options to replace him.
  15. We're going down aren't we edit; please kill me
