Did anyone else think that Cisse chance at the end (that should have been a corner iirc) had gone in? I said something along the lines of "YEEESSSSSSSSSSS.... oh". A winner would have meant so much, and I can't recall an equaliser being celebrated as much as our one was. You could see what it meant to the players and staff - that feeling of injustice really added to the mentality of the players.

Works both ways to be fair, Mondays are always better after a decent weekend and a Toon win.
-
No man, Nolan on Anichebe was worse

Ryan Taylor is recovering from a ligament rupture I believe, but a relatively straightforward one that is easier to fully recover from. So there's clearly several different levels of ligament/cruciate injuries. If that's what it is for Haidara.
-
Essien (amongst other injuries) had an ACL tear and hasn't been the same player since. I mean, he's still good enough for Real Madrid but before his injury woes he was one of the best midfielders in the world.
-
Yeah watching a side of their calibre will cheer us right up

Essien did his ligaments and hasn't been the same since.

Fancy a holiday. Tomorrow. Fucking football.

Forgotten about this amongst all the other talking points, but shouldn't it have been a corner to us before they went up the other end and scored from that corner? Surely he would have gone straight to the nearest hospital if it was a break?
-
Yeah. He posted this after the Sunderland game too.
-
Guess what player of ours posted this
-
Has anyone got any hard drugs?
-
Knee and thigh, gone straight to hospital in Newcastle. Guessing here, but he's probably done his ACL or something and won't be seen for 6-9 months.

Fraser Forster or The Scottish Football Thread.

Everton and Celtic fans coming on a Newcastle forum to wind people up. Don't think I've ever been that bored. -
Shame he'll probably not be seen on it for a couple of weeks.
-
Easier to say that when you're beyond apathetic about the club/sport though, isn't it?
-
Hasn't got the right attitude at all.
-
I wouldn't. I know you'll use absolutely anything you can against Pardew but I don't think he's that blinkered. Maybe Martinez hasn't actually seen the incidents to the level we have, to be fair to him. If that's the case though he should say so.

Can't believe we're still very much in said scrap - especially if results don't go our way next round of matches. Really wish we could just confirm safety for the season and just concentrate on the Europa League. Had enough of this season, really have. Need to move on and forget how disappointing it has been especially as we threw away the chance to build on last year which I'll never forgive Ashley et al for.

It's just a pointlessly bitter post from someone who's been on here long enough to know better. Posted at a time when a bunch of Newcastle fans are not happy. It's like me going on an Everton board after one of their players makes a poor challenge and posting a clip of Gravesen doing Bernard.
-
What's the point in posting this? That former players of ours have made bad challenges too? Has anyone on here said we've not been guilty of it in the past or something?
-
Even if the ref's view was somewhat blocked, I'd like to know just what his assistant was doing on that side.
-
But you could also say that we had two injuries that disrupted our first half and changed the shape - and mentality - of the team. We weren't good enough with that said but they weren't anything special. A draw would have been a fair result, but if either side deserved to win it was them. I can live with that but it's everything else that has made it feel so much worse. Absolutely disgusted with the ref today and Wigan know they've been very, very lucky today.
-
No doubt the media will be full of praise for Wigan now. "Another great escape" "Martinez does it again"
-
Wigan for fucks sake. They're only 6 behind us now with a game in hand whilst we have Man City up next. Can see us getting dragged back into it.
