Pardew said on the radio the other evening that they'll be looking into why we have these strange away performances where we fail to turn up. Hopefully it's something that'll be fixed over the summer. Again tactically he's got plenty wrong but he has on occasions learned from these mistakes. Bit strange how we went all season without ever scoring more than 3 in the league. Can't complain though if the goals were spread over several games as opposed to just being hoarded for one.

Really?! I mean I know they can point to it all being Brucey's fault, but still... Based on recent form I can't see why they'd have finished that much higher if MON was there all season, although I do take into account the different signings MON might have made had he been brought in earlier.

Disappointing but not half as bad as it would have felt if we'd gone in today in third, or if Arsenal and Spurs slipped up but we didn't take advantage. @duo - if we keep this squad together, add a little, sort out why we have these away-day capitulations (today, Wigan, Spurs, Fulham)... I see little reason why we won't be challenging for Europe again next year. And that absolutely includes the Champions League. Onwards and upwards tbh.

I was like that when I visited my uni city a few weeks back and it's only been about 3 years since I stopped living there. It's weird to me as it is not a particularly impressive city but it holds happy memories so I always feel good when I go back there.
