Very few clubs are "safe" if a big offer comes in tbh. We're not an abnormality in that regard.

Why? Guthrie won't sign a new contract (supposedly) because he wants more game-time (fair enough) and why would Best be worth more than £1.5m? I'm not saying he isn't but it'd be hard for the club to demand much more than that for a player who doesn't play often and didn't cost much in the first place.
