  1. He looks a different player tbh, more akin to the Championship Guthrie, but leaner and with more about him (based on the admittedly little I've seen him play this season). His attitude has been spot on. Gosling looked much better today too and Simpson had another improved game. Ryan Taylor was outstanding at times.
  2. If I've got one criticism of us so far, it's that we occasionally make things harder for ourselves. By which I mean, on at least 4 occasions this season we've found ourselves 2 up, only for the opposition to score and make things tense for us. Against Blackburn and Stoke on Monday we managed to get a third to make things comfortable but against Wolves and today it was a nervy finish to the match. 2-1 is a horrible score if you were 2 up, as the monentum then tends to be with the losing side. One thing we've not done this season is destroy a team. For all our improvements, by this time last year we'd won 6-0 and 5-1 already. To be fair though I reckon if we'd scored a third goal today before they scored, we could won it by at least that amount. Could well have put more past Blackburn too. edit; probably not the best thread for the above, but then again I guess it's got something to do with Pardew. Or not, like at all.
  3. Unbelievable how fucking shit your post is and suddenly I'm doubting that you actually watched either match he's played in. Never has he even had the chance to sustain a place in the team, people like you need to get over yourselves and appreciate how much he is currently bringing to the team.
  4. Can't rely on Sunderland for anything can you.
  5. Gosling looked much fitter than he did the last time I saw him.
  6. Man City/Utd away are the types of game that - if you were to lose - you'd want to lose. We've got the points against the lesser sides, now like said above there's less pressure on us against the above and Chelsea. To get anything from those 3 would be great. There are a few teams nearing our position (Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea), and we'd still be amongst them even if we don't get much out of the next 3 games.
  7. Fuck sake Wes Brown. Own goal scores for Man Utd again.
  8. No. There's this bloke Tecato. You two should meet up and talk about 'how too much sugar is bad for you' and the like. You should try reading my posts in future, might help.
  9. Way I see it - fairly comfortable first half. They had a couple of chances but we were good value for a 2-0 lead. But their goal changed everything, I think if we'd have kept it at 2-0 till say the 55th minute mark, we'd probably go on and get another goal. They had the momentum from that point. Whilst I'd still like us to get a big win some day (by this point least season we'd already won a game 6-0, and another 5-1), I can't really fault the lads since we were clearly looking tired, and our midfield was and now has been further ravaged by injuries. I think Guthrie and Gosling did a good job regardless. To be honest I think the international break could really not have come at a better time.
  10. Very relieved. Last half hour of that match was so tense.
  11. I think Cabaye is - on his own - turning Wheyse Keys Louise away from the dark side and I have no doubt that she was wrist deep a minute after the interview ended. That's some skill.
  12. Like Parky, I'm questioning my sexuality.
  13. Nowhere near as good as the latest Sunderland chant http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=641191
  14. We should go for his old mate Benzema in the summer, see if they'll take Lovenkrands in a swap deal.
  15. IGN are a joke tbh, for the reason given above ^.
  16. Steady on! I'll bet you a £1000 now he plays for England before 2016. What makes you think he will? Genuinely interested (although I'll bet you a tenner if you want) - I've only seen bits of him cup games and reserve highlights.
  17. Spot on. Although with that said, after the Wigan debacle I don't think we'll be complacent again no matter how good or bad the opposition are supposed to be.
