I think I'll call it a day if we buy Cole. I'll freeze myself cryogenically or something and wake up when Ashley has left.
-
He won't be replaced. We're struggling - pathetically I might add - to replace Enrique despite knowing he was off for months. We're even struggling to replace Carroll despite the fact that we sold him 8 months ago. A shambles. Unforgivable. I swear every time we've got something to smile about, they find some way of making us worry.
-
You must have missed this but they've got a new majority shareholder who has promised cash to spend. Can't believe this club. I figured we'd keep him for this season and then probably shift him next summer. Now we need to buy another creative midfielder (with no money coming in), a LB and a striker. Madness. Llambias putting himself and Ashley before the club.

I'll pass it on for you Leazes. so when exactly is the new owner going to do better than the old ones, which you said would be nailed on when you wanted rid of them because they were so shite oh well. Dr Gloom making daft comments then running away again....... when exactly is he going to stop moaning on for an owner etc with ambition, when he didn't want them here when we had them ? I'd like to know where I'm being "buttfucked" because basically, until someone comes along and does better than the Halls and Shepherd, then I continue to be spot on regarding everything I said about them [unlike Gloomy himself, but I'm sure he'll moan like fuck anyway even though he now has what he wanted]

Does anyone know if Rhys and Daddys Cock are alright? Been worried by their absence recently. Has something happened to them? -
Will someone inform Agent Bruce that he's making it too obvious?

Total mugs. Kind of wish I supported a club that weren't based at the other end of the country, but oh well. My nearest Prem club currently is Fulham and then (cringe) Chelsea. That total mugs thing, my safety wink didn't come up. Where do you stay Tecato, know the area well. Thought you were in Lincoln. Sort of in between Reading and High Wycombe at the moment. I lived in Lincoln for several years, plan on going back someday soon. Good part of the country to live in, nothing is overly far away.

Meh. The press are all contradicting each other now. Even the local press (i.e. the ones who work in the same building). I'll ignore everything unless it's on the official site*. *Well I would if I had the required self-control.

I can't see us signing a striker before the end of the window. On a permanent deal at least. I'm willing for the above to be entered into the Prediction Tracker.

12 days to get a left back and striker in
Monroe Transfer replied to Holden McGroin's topic in Newcastle Forum
I'll be amazed if we get both a new LB and a new striker in. A new LB surely has to happen, but I can't see bringing in another striker. Perhaps if we were willing to pay the extra £1-2m that clubs value their players at, we'd be alright. Just spend the money already. -
Did you watch the United game last night, Stevie? If not I recommend watching the highlights whilst you eat your lunch.

Pretend to be a student and get it on the cheap.

Pregnant?

Pretty obvious what's going on here. Club willingly tap up player. Club anticipate Sochaux filing a complaint. FIFA/UEFA will probably ban us from transfers for a year or so. Gives our lot the perfect excuse to get away with not bringing anyone else in. Genius!

I know that's more gruesome but I found the Williamson one more disturbing because of the nature of it, how avoidable it probably was, and Purley's in-vain heroism.
-
I'd never actually seen this before last night. Probably the most disturbing of them all. Hard to believe that it was left to one man (and a fellow driver at that) to try and save his friend's life. Apparently he actually choked to death, and would have been able to get out had Purley been helped in trying to right his car.

IMO it was more a uneducated belief that if they made the sport safer, they'd take the excitement away. Agreed, that too. For a while that seemed to extend to where the spectators were situated and how unsafe things could be for them as well. Apparently Stewart and others worked to make things safer not just for themselves, but for fans and even stewards (they gave stewards old fireproof overalls for instance).

Did any of you watch that Killer Years documentary on BBC2 last night? Harrowing stuff. Can't believe how dangerous the sport was in the 60s and 70s, seemed like every other dead driver was burned alive. Some of the lacking safety features/logistics can't really be blamed on a lack of technology at the time, seems they just wanted to keep the costs down.

Excited to see how Gosling, Marveaux and Ben Arfa get on. Would be nice to see the likes of Abeid and Vuckic get some time in the first team.
