  1. Both dreading it and very excited at the same time. Dreading it because the scoreline will more than likely embarrass us. Excited because we've not played a competitive game in a while and I've missed it.
  2. Really should be pushing this through. He's clearly severed his ties with OM. Still too much speculation for my liking.
  3. No direct quotes to be fair.
  4. He's just desperate to line up alongside the likes of Alan Smith, Nile Ranger and Leon Best. Who can blame him?
  5. I'd rather we put all our attention into getting a decent striker tbh.
  6. Hughton will veto the transfer as he doesn't want to enter into a dispute with OM. You read it here first (and probably last).
  7. If he comes, let's hope that's the case for Ben Arfa.
  8. This kid will do anything for attention (yes how ironic it is that I'm giving him what he wants by posting this). It's embarrassing to read. What will he have to do to finally get banned and is it anything we can goad him into doing?
  9. As if a section of our lot wouldn't have acted the twat in a similar situation (referring to them laughing at us when we went down). Unfair to paint them all the same colour as it were, and it seems to be just that that people are bitter about.
  10. No excitement till it's confirmed. We need a player like him in midfield, so fair play to Hughton et al if it goes through. Still really need a decent striker.
  11. Best breakfast of your life though, guaranteed.
  12. We're going to kill ourselves? How's that work?
  13. It's more that Ben Arfa wants to play in England. From what I've heard.
  14. Don't turn this into yet another Kevin thread. His ego is growing faster than his body.
  15. Smoggies certainly didn't repay the faith some of you have in them today.
  16. Agreed, but I can't decide over Nolan or Barton as CM and as bad as he is at least Ryan Taylor has Prem experience. Really think Perch would be thrown in the deep end if we started with him against a club of Man Utd's quality. I think this is the thread you're looking for. Your stereotyping of Liverpudlians is an even more tedious 'joke'.
  17. Lincoln, Plymouth, Wycombe, Hamburg, Marseille, Barca.
  18. If he comes to us and is decent, a better club with more money will snap him up come the end of the season. If he comes to us and disappoints, he'll return to OM and end being shifted to some club in Germany or Spain. Either way, if we were to get him on loan, I wouldn't expect to see him join us permanently at any time in the future.
  19. I love how you're totally aware of your thread hijacks these days. Haven't you been banned from almost every other Toon forum because you won't shut up about the old board?
  20. You really think the Smoggies will win it? Improved their squad this pre-season, that's undeniable, but they still had a better squad than most last season and were never in it. Strachan was there long enough to at least have them properly fighting for a play off spot.
  21. To be fair there's not been a massive amount of movement in the market this window. Some clubs haven't brought anyone in. Shouldn't judge Hughton too much (or indeed Ashley for that matter), it always picks up towards the end of the window. Rather have them in early but that's just the way it goes, understandably.
  22. Kevin is certainly bringing home the big bucks.
  23. He's probably been sacked already.
  24. It'll be the surgical saw for you my friend.
