  1. Cable didnt turn up because apparently, in a time where we have a hung parliament and an obvious Tory rebellion, he didnt think it would be a close vote, even though it is his party's -only- issue. The man is a fucking charlatan. The Lib Dems can get fucked.
  2. Even more pathetic given that Labour by definition should be for jobs. Although for the leadership of the apparently pro-EU party in this country to simply not bother turning up is really something.
  3. Abstaining? Are you serious? The Lib Dems can officially get fucked then. Waste of space party with sackless leadership. So we get hard Brexit very literally because our politicians are a total and utter shambles. This isn't fucking good enough.
  4. Those Labour MPs need to be deselected at the first opportunity including fucking Corbyn if he was one of them. This is too serious now for the gameplaying and bullshit.
  5. Who fucking voted for No Deal? Who??
  6. In that case we need the government to collapse. And we need to make sure that 'Remain' is on the ballot.
  7. Why though, its literally the only thing that could save her at this point.
  8. So this means May is coming down on the side of hard Brexit after her plan was shot down from all sides?
  9. Can't say i really rated Henderson either. Apart from one decent forward pass, what did he do? Possibly reacting to the Croatia game here but when their goal went in our midfield became non-existent. He doesn't impose himself on games nor, as far as i can tell, does he do anything hugely noteworthy. Same as he is with Liverpool...?
  10. Everton won a friendly against a none pro team in Austria 22-0. What is the point
  11. Labour now ahead of the Tories, Corbyn ahead of May - only bad news is UKIP are on their way back in. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2018/jul/14/labour-opens-up-biggest-lead-over-tories-since-general-election
  12. Trump says May found his advice on how to negotiate Brexit with the EU to be 'too brutal'. All out nuclear war, presumably.
  13. The thing with this bollocks from Trump on trade - he's complaining the US gets a bad deal from the EU. Which means by extension the EU must get a 'good' deal on trade. So we're swapping trading relationship which favours us, for one that won't, as far as the US is concerned. It's fucking ludicrous.
  14. Come on CT, you have to own that one. Confirms everything we already knew as well about the shifting goalpost mentality of Leave voters.
  15. Yeah I noticed this too. So he's just fucking hopeless Sounds like Germany was missing their commitments though, so maybe he got that at least?
  16. WTF. I'm no Brexiteer but Trump can get fucked. @Christmas Tree thoughts?
  17. This is an interesting one. Will whoever replaces him rein all this shit back in, or will they actually keep a lot of it in place because some of it may legitimately be in US interests?
  18. Fair enough then. It could also be a pretense for leaving I suppose.
  19. Still achieved what he wanted though. And still not something Putin is likely to be thrilled about..?
  20. Hang on though, so he threatened to do this but apparently got the increase in spending he wanted as a result. Due to be 4% of GDP by 2024...? I'm struggling to imagine Putin being thrilled about that tbh.
  21. Agree with Renton on the EU army, but as an EU Federalist, I woulda backed that anyway. Trump proposing to abandon NATO, a predominantly US initiative, is incredible. Fuck it, maybe we should start working for closer ties with the Chinese and abandon the Americans.
  22. Do think we should have taken Shelvey and Lascelles though. Walker continues to be an accident waiting to happen in every game for me - picked up a totally pointless booking in this one. And Shelvey might just have been the link to take England into a position to break them down.
  23. I see not everyone agrees...
  24. I'm amazed we got so far and thoroughly enjoyed that Not getting involved in the recriminations here but that's the first time i can remember that England haven't been a total fucking let down. If we'd managed to get a second goal in the first half we'd have won it. But its a young team and clearly we need some work on scoring from open play. Nobody is perfect though. France to win, though I'd rather Croatia.
