The battle isn't won yet mind. But at least Corbyn has achieved what I hoped he would in solidifying Labour's position on the left. Still a lot of work to do though as the Tories will absolutely fight a better campaign next time.
-
On the other hand, McDonnell has just come out and said Labour won't stay in the single market and that the team won't change much...
-
Yep. I'm sure some of them will. As I said, Miliband sounded up for it.
-
He reached out to the centrists as well. I really fucking hope they take him up on it. Labour uniting now would be a powerful statement in the face of what the Tories are saying.

This is just perfect May in bed with terrorist sympathisers - check. Coalition of chaos - check Weak and wobbly - check. She may now have outdone Cameron as the worst PM in history.
-
To win the argument we need to be more decisive than that. He needs a majority.
-
Strong and stable though. The Tory way!
-
It's not over yet. The Tories can't deliver hard Brexit with the DUP and even if they could, they'd have to survive first. We may well lose the battle on the EU but I don't think our last chance for averting it has past yet.

Have to be honest, wish Davidson was Labour.

RIP

Sounds like that Timothy guy was one of the best and brightest the Tories had. Shame
-
They also need to ask Blair to come out and say Labour under Corbyn is a disaster again. That will have helped.
-
IMO, Labour need to bring centrists back into the fold. They're out of touch but far more credible than anything the Tories have. Corbyn backed by Miliband, Cooper and Benn would be strong. Secondly they need to throw resources at seats like Rudd's. If they put no effort into that at all, and still nearly won it, then it has to be a target next time. Finally, they need to get Scotland in order. The Tory seats have to either swing back to the SNP, or go to Labour outright. Ideally the latter. Not impossible by any means, but it relies on the centrists coming on board. They'll have more influence that way anyhow.
-
That sounded inevitable. It's the Tories trying to scapegoat IMO.
-
I haven't played in ages but I could do at some point this weekend if you want - I thought you sold your PS4 though?

That interview.... she is utterly incapable of talking outside of pre-prepared lines. Just abysmal stuff.
-
Yep, I would say that nails it.

Worth reading this chap's assessment of the early days of the Brexit negotiations - he's the Brexit correspondent for the Guardian - read the chain:
-
I'm not especially convinced that May has much of a clue. The DUP have made a statement saying that there's been a preliminary discussion and that an agreement will be reached later, so that sounds as if they're heading the right way, but surely May would need to have done all of this before getting the Queen's permission to proceed? I'm sure that's how it's meant to work. I do actually think she has done this ass backwards.
-
I dunno, I'm wondering if this is all normal as the press don't appear to be making a huge fuss about it. Maybe it's just the way she's wording things that's making it look as though she's rushed in to form a government without actually talking about it...
-
It does, I agree - the increase is only relevant in context to the person who came before.

Also interesting:
-
The DUP now saying they haven't agreed to anything What the fuck is going on Theresa?

What do you mean the description of Alt-Right? I'm not sure Farage identifies as such, although if he had any savvy, he probably would do. The Alt-Right themselves definitely see themselves intellectuals. Believe it or not.
