  1. Can you expand on that? I'm interested in what else you think comes into play.
  2. Corbyn won't be carrying the working class though. He needs more time to mend the damage done to that group by New Labour. If indeed he's capable of it at all.
  3. I think it's a longer game than the election. People will stick with the Tories because they consider them to be the only competent party left - all it's going to take is for Brexit to end up in farce or the slightly more medium term collapse of the standards of living in this country for a similar phenomenon to what just happened in the US to happen here. I genuinely think Brexit relieved some of the pressure on the establishment over here, we might well have averted something worse. All it does is buy time though, and the Tories are unlikely to use that to make the system work better for people. I just hope Labour are ready when the time to be the 'anti-establishment' party comes, and haven't reverted to form.
  4. The thread was a bloodbath tbf. It was glorious...
  5. That's how I see it too Parky. So for all us talking about fine margins and so on, if that single conversation had never happened, I don't think it'd be anywhere near as close.
  6. As an additional thought to all of this. If the whole pussy grabbing thing had never come to light - or never happened - how badly would Hillary have lost? They were about neck and neck at that point weren't they?
  7. I was just pointing out that logically, if Fox News claim something, and you claim the same thing, and I don't, of the two of us, you're the one who is closest to their position. If this is all the information we have to go on, logically, you'd be the better candidate to work for them. You would need both Fox and myself to be wrong about the same thing for the assertion that I should work for them to hold up. The fact that I was just plainly wrong is beside the point I'm in a ridiculously pedantic mood today, apparently
  8. Some will - this isn't about the left or right any more, really.
  9. Oh I must have missed that. He was re-elected? Or is that interim nonsense still going on? The rest of that comment is interesting You and Fox News both agree that he's the leader of UKIP, I disagree (wrongly, apparently) and yet I'm the one who should work there...?
  10. He is, by all accounts. We really need the left to buck its ideas up, or it's going to be plain sailing for him though.
  11. Fox News think he's leader of the opposition? He isn't even leader of his own party... dear me.
  12. Is it though? It's not like we even really care about this game now, is it? I don't... We may as well be playing Rotherham for all I care. I think that's a shame!
  13. Thinking about it, I genuinely wouldn't mind seeing Leeds in the PL again. I've always expected them to come back up again and am surprised that they still haven't managed it.
  14. Parky would probably be heading it up.
  15. The question then becomes, who would the last person left be? HF, SEW, Parky or myself? Possibly Gemmill as well, as a dark horse.
  16. Neither of you It's just that we're arguing amongst each other because the easier target isn't here.
  17. I see, so she's a nobody? Great Fair point
  18. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Will be interesting to see how far gun crimes rise, and how they distort reporting on the figures, when this goes through.
  19. Who is she? Other than Vince McMahon's wife (which is a sexist way of referring to her Howay - the identity politics police would be all over you for that!)
  20. It's all going to end up like some kind of dystopian future isn't it?
  21. Oh... those would be such bad choices. The Democrats going celebrity populist would not be pretty...
  22. He surely can't go back to politics after this?
