I did in France too. Thought steak tartare was a like a minute steak. Waiter comes up with a plate of mince straight from what looked like Morrison's meat counter, cracks a raw egg in it, sprinkles on some pepper, mixes it all up with a fork. I was convinced this was going to the table next door, but non, it was mine. I ate it out of politeness and threw up on my way out. Milan food though, yeah, neigh chance I would risk that again.
