  1. Well, this was on the member forum. Difference between us is, I rarely if ever see any posts on here hating them or their city. As per the name of the thread, 90% of it is just laughing at their daft threads about us. No anger, bitterness. No mention of hate, scum, smashing tellys. Just a mixture of bemusement and amusemsent. Hardly even a mention of their tragic matches unless it's their other yearly play off games. Think most wouldn't even mind if they are promoted, as we know it is a guranteed source of more amusement. Of course, they know this and it makes them even more livid.
  2. Average day on the SMB, perfectly normal behaviour.
  3. Will they vote Trump though? Honestly, I just don't enough about it. YouTube keeps throwing me videos explaining how there is no realistic route to a Trump presidency. YouTube is probably just telling me what I want to hear, granted.
  4. Maybe the answer is for somebody to take out Biden? I'm not sure Trump is a shoe in though, as bad as Biden is. My understanding is that the large majority of independents will not vote Trump and a large proportion of Nikki Haley supporters won't vote Trump. Add in the fact the more exposure Trump gets, the more he turns off people, and the fact that the issue of democracy has overtaken the economy as the number 1 issue, and it looks less good for Trump. And Roe Wade reversal is also looking like an albatross for the GOP. Then again, maybe I'm just guilty of my own bias here, I really do not understand Americans.
  5. Goal difference is always a good indicator. There's is zero. Also could 5th be enough for CL?
  6. Not my experience unfortunately. I did a tour of the San Siro recently. The tour guide asked which club I supported. I said "Newcastle" with a grin on my face. He just looked puzzled. "Kevin Keegan, Bobby Robson, Alan Shearer". He was still not getting it. "Oh ffs, Sandro Tonali, we've just played Milan in the champions league? " He was Still scoobied, and asked me whereabouts Newcastle was. I told him the NE of England. "Ahhhh" he says "Vicino Sunderland?L'argomento di Netflix? Il black cats! Jack Ross, Phil Parkinson, Simon Grayson? Il Loch Ness Drogba! Founders of Athletico Bilbao! Mamma Mia! Il Sunderland è una squadra di calcio enorme. Forza Sunderlando!!! Gutted, tbh.
  7. Match the item to the player game? I have it on good authority the banana in front is Callum's...
  8. Barnes on. Tino too please. Our bench is getting stronger. Howe has no excuse not to use it now.
  9. I heard the audio for this. Another but Dianne Abbot moment, which made headline news, despite her being nowhere near the key to the treasury. Laura Trott, chief secretary to the treasury, doesn't even understand public debt is rising. She should stick to cycling.
  10. I remember there was a fad in the 80s of people selling "bottled air from New York" and such exotic places, and mugs actually bough t them. You can still get similar. And, bottled air from each of the UK countries. The cost? £100!
  11. There's a thread on the SMB about STID3 coming out. Anyway, Below is a sample post below about how everyone loves them around the world globally because of it, and what great fans they are ( there are dozens similar). Apart from being tragically needy, I honestly don't know why they think the fans came well out of this. I distinctly recall them abusing Coleman, who always struck me as a decent person, being taking for fool by two con men, and iirc actually assaulting the camera crew? I mean, fair play, it was classic entertainment but not in the way they think. Also I thought wearing replica tops was a mag thing...
  12. Life is cruel. He hasn't aged one bit but Cherie is looking a bit rough despite the healing crystals.
  13. Hope you have a lovely time and bring back some toblerone. Wait, what?
  14. Why is no-one talking about this? It will affect most on this board, and it's bullshit. We should have our fluorescent gilets on and be tearing down parliament. https://www.theguardian.com/money/2024/feb/09/raising-uk-state-pension-age
  15. Yeah well, feel free to applaud me. Edit: yeah, very good response from Streeting. Sunak just there: "Their signature economic policy is in tatters, and when you don’t have a plan, you can’t deliver any change for the country". Sorry, doesn't wash. All you have to do is point out the tories have left the actual economy in tatters. After 14 years, nobody else to blame.
  16. Thinking of the dropped £28 billion pounds green energy pledge by Labour here. I think they might have played a blinder. Reeves can talk about financial credibility and fiscal responsibility, but more importantly they can deflect everything else from the BBC and the rest of the right wing media to "the tories have trashed the economy". ANd this resonates with everyone, because we all know its true. Thus in one fell swoop, the tories have lost their only effective attack line on Labour. The more I think about it, the more I am impressed. All Labour need to do now is sit back and enjoy the tories eating themselves.
  17. I am praying to the flying spaghetti monster for this to happen. I am beginning to hate Biden as much as Trump because of his lack of self reflection.
  18. Johnson is/was a bullshitter extraordinaire, he was un-PC, but he was socially liberal and I don't recall him pursuing the culture war that his predecessors have taken up. He wasn't even particularly right wing. He won in 2019 based partly on Corbyn, and partly on blatent lies about about Brexit which were always going to unravel. The new lot are more idealogically driven and less adept politicians. Like all before him, Sunak is caught between the more reasonable tories that are left and the right wing head bangers. He's weak as piss so is half-heartedly trying to appease the latter with culture war bullshit without any real conviction. You're right in the sense that Johnson did reveal the English public to be exceptionally gullible mind.
  19. What gets me is they were blaming Starmer for politicising the issue, when they have been stoking the culture war for months now. They've seen it work in the US by the republicans, and think it will work here. I expect capital punishment and abortion to be added to their agenda soon. Thing is, let them. It honestly just won't work here, people can see thorugh the bullshit and just don't want it here. We are not the US.
  20. The BBC sources I listen to/watch certainly managed to tilt the Brianna Ghey to a ridiculous "they're both guilty" stance. Also demoted to 4th story on the news on Wednesday, behind a story of Prince WIlliam performing a routine duty.
