I'm not in a rush like, my car is relatively new, just highlighting the news today its as much to "fill" an EV as a petrol car which I found shocking. Honestly, I think I will just keep my car running for as long as possible. I only drive to Seaton Sluice to crtitque their takeaways nowadays anyway.
-
Or against Corbyn.
-
In theory, but I reckon the UK will end up like Cuba. If you go there, what you'll find is that they have kept US 1950s cars going since they were embargoed in the days of Castro. It's quite impressive tbh, with a few soviet era Ladas throwen in. It'll be like that here only with Fords and Citroens, chugging along on spent chip shop oil.

How much does it cost to change a car battery? Has this been factored in. I need to change mine on my phone after 3 years after all. No way is an EV saving you any money at the moment imo.
-
I drive through Seaton SLuice 3 times a week nowadays, I'll make sure to give Reg a wave. Talking of which, I stopped off for chips at the Harbour View on Saturday. Not good, would have been okay in the 90s but time has moved on elsewhere. 4/10.
-
Only 3/10 (top 10) in that list are sub 40k, only 6/20 I think overall. I mean seriously, where are people going to find the money to buy an EV? They cost more than my first house.
-
William is on Rupert's side cos of Meghan isn't he? ANd its "the populous were...." you pompous doofus,
-
Yeah, I do, but even home charging won't be free. But its the capital outlay, you're talking 40k for the type of model I'd want which is about 40% more than the cost of the petrol equivalent. And who the fuck wants to but a second hand EV if the baterries are anything like mobile phone ones? I'm not spending 40k on a fucking car.

I think deomcracy is better than hoping for a benovelent dictator like. And PR, done correctly, actually nullifies the issues we currently have (i.e. having an extreme right wing government despite 60% of people being liberal/progressives).
-
So, was tentively looking at getting an EV next car purchase. They are fucking horrendously expensive. Just been on the news there it now costs as much per mile to charge an EV from a public charger (bear in mind about 40% of people do not have a driveway) as a petrol vehicle! Fuck that.
-
Charging an electr You twat.

They didn't need to change the rules in the end. Truss is new so 50 odd letters to Brady and we're back to square one again. Allegedly some letters were sent on her first day!
-
I think everyone assumed she was just lying to appease the 80,000. Turns out though, she really is a thick as pigshit sock puppet for the ERG.
-
On the counter though these aren't tories as we'd have known them in previous years. Much like the GOP in the US, they have been eviscerated from within by a populist and his client media. I'm not sure they can come back from this, ever. I'm deperately hoping this can be a catalyst for constitutional change, I realise that probably won't happen.
-
You'd hope so, but Johnson certainly masively reduced the "decent conservative" pool. One of the problems of ocurse is the sheer lack of competence on the tory benches or elsewhere. Think I heard the other day that three quarters of the tory parliamentary cunts have been on governement payroll since the 2019 election, partly because of leadership change but mainly because Johnson wanted to bribe people to stay loyal and massively increased the government size. The party is running out of stooges.
-
I'm not that up on how parliament works, do these tax cuts have to be voted through parliament? Or is it an executive power. I had assumed the former. If so, is there a possibility they won't go through, given the shit they've already landed us in?
-
Honestly, I've never understood why anybody gave this grifting cunt any attention. I've never read a word he's posted.
-
As many as they can fit in. It really is like the mackems and their managers. And we know what happened there.
-
I'm not sure the poundshop Thatcher will last until Christmas like. Then what? Another leadership race? Who will be in it, Johnson vs. Sunak? (I can see the latter's stock rising significantly because he did warn against this). Whatever happens, they are fucked in a GE but the question is what the damage will be by then. Christ I hate these cunts, I really do.

I'll do Gemmill's twitter job for him since he's gibbering in the corner.

Eating out of bins! Luxury! In my day........

I'm bedwetting cos I think the country is utterly fucked no matter who is in charge now. BoE probably will be forced to intervene today, putting up interest rates and screwing people like me on variable mortgages and with large credit card debts. That could involve something like a 100bps or 150bps hike in interest rates (to 3.25%/3.75%), perhaps as soon as this morning. By bringing forward a lot of the policy tightening that might needed to have happened anyway, the Bank would demonstrate in no uncertain terms that whatever the government does it will ensure that inflation returns to 2%. This would go a long way to easing the crisis.

Accidental or deliberate? Corruption or incompetence?
