I find her refreshingly honest (comparatively) in general but she's pragmatic enough to play the game, as you put it. I tend to agree about what she should be doing and why that is perhaps why support has wained (sic). The reliance on oil revenue makes Scotland a bit of a basket case outwith the EU. I thought it was canny typical of them to vote to stay in the Union then elect shitloads of SNP MPs at the General Election. I might add that I like the place and the people (although that's a rather meaningless platitude but I certainly have nothing against them) but they might have to take a long hard look at themselves if the day ever came when they couldn't blame the English for all their problems.

Despite all her patter to the contrary a Tory government suits Sturgeon.

Might've been a comment on a BBC article after the cup final. Anyway, it was someone saying they might put on their CV that they're an Arsenal fan because any prospective employer would then know they'd been through everything life could throw at them. Now, they might have been taking the piss but you could equally imagine one of their lot meaning it. -
Some profound shit right there

On thing that was noted recently (forgotten who by, might've been Nicky Campbell on Radio 5) was how archaic it was that polling days were still on Thursdays and that a Saturday or Sunday might see more people turn out.

CT hasn't the imagination although I did (along with Adios I think) also note some similarities.
