If Rafa knew 100% that Staveley was deffo taking over he could have all his potential new signings ready to just sign their contracts. Medicals etc could be done in the knowledge the money was there. -

I'm reading it could take a further 40 days once the deals accepted before PCP would be new owners. The reasons being further due diligence & approval by the football league. This must be why the 2 week deadline was mentioned at the begining of the week. if a deal was sorted today we'd be looking around the middle of January for the new owners taking over. Giving Rafa very little time for reinforcements 2 weeks later & the window closes, Rafa would have very little to buy reinforcements probably having to sell to buy. The clock is ticking. -

If we're to trust these valuations & bids we've no idea except what we've read then there's a massive gap of between £130 to £150 million even if Stavely offers a bit more it'll be still well short of Ashleys alleged valuation of the club. -

I think his £400/380 is well over valued for the state the clubs in now. The value of the playing squad must be buttons compared to other teams -

I think £250 million is a fair offer cosidering he paid that including the loan for the club so essentialy he's getting his money back. Factor in a decade of free advertising for SD our current form & league postion, the value of the squad & the inevitable HMRC fine.i think it might be time to take the money & run -

Sky Sports: Seven days to improve bid? Sky Sports are claiming that Amanda Staveley has SEVEN days to improve her current bid of £250 million for the club. Amanda Staveley’s present £250m offer to buy Newcastle needs to make significant progress in the next seven working days if it is to stand a chance of succeeding, Sky Sports News understands. Sources close to the deal have told Sky Sports News that reports Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has been given a two-week deadline to accept PCP Capital Partners’ offer are inaccurate. Sky Sports News understands any agreement this week would not be concluded until the second or third week of January at the earliest, partly because any deal needs Premier League ratification. -

This from this mornings Chronicle It was put to Benitez that January would be a big month for him and his side. “I have no idea,” he said. Asked to clarify he repeated: “I have no idea.” When asked whether that was because of the takeover he again repeated: “I have no idea.”

Remember this from Ashley ... In August the NUFC owner was saying that he expected the team to get themselves safe in the Premier League and then make the FA Cup a priority once we got to January. I think he might have to have a re-think.
