Yes but the way i read it was they dont have to sell (i.e. they could loan them out) to buy.
-
i thought we were only allowed 25 there's 28 names on that list
-
Rafa said this at todays presser " I can't answer (how many players I want). We are working on names & targets but we have too many players. Don't need to sell to buy" That last sentence "Dont need to sell to buy" says there's money there to buy, so there must be other obstacles stopping him.

Honestley mate i expect it to be very well supported this time as i'd imagine Rafa walking would be the final straw for the majority of fans this time. I'd imagine even for the most ardent fans this would be the final kick in the bollocks. What would be the point of going to the match except to show your disgust in Ashley.

Newcastle United vs Spurs 13/08/2017

DeAndre Yedlin will miss the start of the 2017-18 Premier League season and he may not be ready for the the USMNT’s two crucial 2018 World Cup qualifiers in September. The Newcastle United right back injured his hamstring in a preseason game against Mainz last week and Yedlin, 24, will now be out until the end of August. Speaking to the media his manager Rafael Benitez confirmed the injury news, saying “we think it’s two or three weeks that he will be out.” That means that Yedlin will likely miss Newcastle’s first three games back in the Premier League — home games against Tottenham and West Ham plus a trip to Huddersfield — after promotion from the second-tier. -

Alan Shearer speaking to Talksport: “I think there’s definitely a frustration there from Rafa Benitez, having spoken to him. “They have been in for a lot of players and they have missed out on a lot of players. “They have tried but for different reasons they haven’t got some of the players in that they’ve wanted. “They have been too late, other clubs have gone ahead and beaten them to it. “Rafa will have them hard to beat, he will have them organised and well drilled…but Rafa wants to be bigger and better than that. “He went to the Championship knowing that his job was to get the club back into the Premier League, then thinking he could go one step further and build and get bigger & better. “That is what he wants and if he is not able to do that, he won’t be there for much longer. “He will have to have signs of bringing more players in and I think it’s a big two or three weeks regarding bringing a few more in. “He needs that, there is no doubt about it. “He says he needs a new striker, he might need two, he needs a full-back, he also wants an experienced goalkeeper. “He says they’re working hard to bring those players in and hopefully they can. “I think we will know a lot in a month’s time and if he doesn’t get what he wants, than you might see it starting to unravel." I think the Ashleyout.com group should be on standby. First Martin Hardy's article regarding Rafa being unhappy now Big Al saying a similar thing. There's got to be something in it

Rafa's football credentianls are second to none, his commitment is superb. He's shown he's not afraid to take on clubs owners. But this job is something else not only has he got the challenge of preparing & getting what amounts to a championship side to play well in the premiership. But also he is up against Ashley & his croanies Barnes & Charnley denying his chances to strengthen his team. He has already earned his legendary status with the fans for his achievements with what he inherited (promotion) But something tells me that this challenge might be the one that defeats Rafa he's here to sort the football side out. They should be falling over themselves to help him move the club on instead of going out of their way to make things difficult for him. We're on the eve of a new season newly promoted & we should ready to hit the ground running. Instead we have an unhappy manager who is at least 3/4 players short of what he wanted, with no premiership quality in the team & our main striker unlikely to start against Spurs. I'm sure Rafa will give it a good go i just hope Ashley & co don't sicken him off

Aye i agree Hardy's spent a hell of a lot of time with Rafa i dont see any reason to think he'd be making things up.

This from Martin Hardy the author of Rafa's Way "Benitez wanted two new players in January and was told no. He wanted four at the start of the current window, and got none. That's half a team. He believed Newcastle had the potential to be a top-five side, but that momentum has gone. He thought he had more to spend and more control over transfers. It has not happened. This is not what he thought was happening when he left his meeting with Ashley at Shirebrook a matter of days after leading Newcastle United to the Championship title" Benitez is being asked to work a miracle with a young reinforced Championship team. It does not feel like a team that has been significantly added to. There are players still there who failed in the Premier League the last time the club was there. Newcastle United is a football club that marches with a more assured step when it has a real leader at the helm (Keegan, Robson and now Benitez). Without him it is difficult to see anything other than more chaos"
