Eddie Howe: “I thought we played OK. And that may get me a few funny looks, but we created a number of opportunities, the attitude, feeling and body language was good. The longer we went without a goal affected us.” #nufc -

Most of the time in the Premiership defenders don't know what to do against ASM. But today Cambridge closed him down at every opportunity. -

Armed forces deployed to London hospitals amid staffing crisis Some 200 Armed Forces personnel are being deployed to support the NHS in London as hospitals grapple with staff shortages. Military medics will assist NHS doctors and nurses with patient care, while general duty personnel will help fill gaps caused by other absences. The Royal College of Nursing has said the deployment means the government can no longer deny there is a "staffing crisis" within the NHS.

So the UK records over 200k new infections today. Earlier on several hospitals declared critical incidents. The NHS are clearly under pressure. Apparently the NHS will move to a "war footing" The majority of children return to school tomorrow. Johnson's response no further restrictions. What could possibly go wrong.

An estimated 2.3 million people in the UK had COVID in the week up to 23 December - a substantial rise on the 1.4 million the previous week. I guess we'll see the knock on effect next week with the NHS given the usual 2 week delay

Sky News The number of people in hospital with COVID-19 is increasing significantly, it has been warned, with another hospital suspending visitors "due to health and safety concerns". Dr Chaand Nagpaul, chairman of the council at the British Medical Association, told Sky News: "What's concerning is that we are seeing significant increases in people in hospital. "In fact, as of yesterday, the number of people admitted and also the number of patients in hospital is at a level as high as during the lockdown earlier this year in spring, in February-March.
