Jack Colback is perhaps average, but goals and assists isnt the correct stats to measure the quality of a deep lying midfielder. His passing is the best in the team, and his defensive stats isnt the worst, although Abeid has almost twice as many tackles and interceptions pr game. Statwise our best midfield atm is a pairing of Abeid and Colback.

I could actually fairly easily win the league with Burnley first season, with a budget of just 2M, but I dont think that skill applies to real football like. Pardew however, I doubt even would manage to learn how to find his way to the main menu in FM, he's just too big an idiot.

As long as you know how to utilize your strengths and mask your weaknesses within a squad, any team can make great results in the league. Pardew doesnt know shit about that, and almost categorically plays our team with most of our weaknesses exposed because hes stubborn, egotistical and believes he can drastically change the players to suit his specific type of football. Simply because denies the fact that he's wrong, even if our games regardless of results, prove wrongness about 90% of the time.
