  1. Last knockings of the game, Sameobi hits a corner into the first man, then follows the rebound up with a shot into the upper tier, rather than a cross to the 3 still waiting in the box from the corner. Take out the issue of Ashley, then on football merit alone we definitely deserve to go down. Sad to think that it will be the likes of Sammiobi who will be kept if we do, assuming his contract isn't up this year.
  2. Sounds about right. Watching the highlights here and we were offering no threat by the end, even with Cisse on. If anything it was a case of QPR finishing strongly and exposing us on the counter - something West Ham will probably do too.
  3. Probably afraid they're going to start telling the press about his tactical briefings and motivational speeches. Said it in the match thread, but this QPR defeat has Carver's stamp all over it - we were winning and just as Hull went down against Spurs, which would have meant we were safe with a game to go. Yet that was precisely the moment when somehow we succumbed to a team who up to then had offered no threat at all, turning 0-1 into 2-1 in short order. Post match, Carver blames that on the fact we were left exposed while trying to go for the second. If ever there was a time to protect a 1-0 lead safe in the knowledge it wouldn't backfire, it was this game.
  4. It should be the game that the entire fan base turns against Carver, that's for sure. We were winning, and just as Tottenham scored (meaning we would have been safe), that amazingly was the time there was a 'mad ten minutes' in the game which saw us convert 0-1 into 2-1, supposedly because QPR all of a sudden were able to exploit the fact our wingers were high up the pitch supposedly to be getting crosses in. And somehow Carver manages to spin that as the best possible outcome of the day. No you stupid cunt, the best possible outcome was to recognise we would have been safe with a 1-0 win and park the bus against the team who had up until that point managed 1 shot.
  5. In the words of the commentator at half time, QPR were playing so shit we should feel aggrieved if we came away with just a 1-0 win - and we saw how that turned out. Obviously cheer our goal, that's understandable, but they were singing for 10 minutes as if they were watching us at our best. If it wasn't simply being done in irony, then yes, it's got to be mass delusion. The time has long since passed that this team, this manager, deserves blind support like that. Colo can stick his letters up his arse.
  6. My mistake, obviously they had seen something up to that point that warranted celebrating and thought more was to come, rather than what it was, a momentary abberration in what is now an entirely predictable pattern of play. Like I said, delusional, or yes, quite possibly pissed and not seeing straight.
  7. apparently wants his future made clear by Ashley before he goes on holiday, two days after the last game
  8. Sad to see the away fans singing their heads off after the goal, what kind of delusion are they operating under? This team, this manager, this club while it remains Ashley's, will never be worthy of such adulation. Riviere's goal was just a long kick from Krul then a miskick - that's mackem/Allardyce level shite that.
  9. Judging by that display, a testimonial would be more akin to a papal visit than a football match designed to honour a player.
  10. one track minds the people on here rayv.....obsessed with their mothers and homosex
  11. Yes, that was the entirely predictable response, but he was like that well before we got a flat together. And if anyone was the cunt, it was him - three years at uni and at the end of it, not one of his former flatmates stayed in contact with him. One even spent half a year not talking to him. That tends to happen to people more interested in drink and money than owt else.
  12. I said it was big story, not a Kennedy moment.
  13. It is when it's every night and that's just you taking it easy. People drinking that much without it even raising an eyebrow are most likely either functioning alcoholics, or at the very least have serious depression issues.
  14. I can hold my own, he was just a raving alcoholic. I don't think there was a single night when he didn't have at least a couple of cans - and he could easily sink 5 just on a night in watching the box - just because, well, that's what you do isn't it? God knows what he does to unwind nowadays, assuming he's managing to hold down a job.
  15. Some hilarious comments in here like.....
  16. A goal for West Ham with Hull winning and it's nailed on.....I know I'd rather see the club relegated as a punishment for getting the game abandoned than watch Allardyce beat us.
  17. And of course he consistetly outdrank me by 2:1, without getting even half as pissed. Even though he only weighed about 6 stone. It's genetic - tight fisted Engish hating alcoholics, every last one of them. He fucking hated the English, not remotely seeing the irony that he was just the latest in a long line of Scottish expats coming to England to study and work.
  18. Not sure it's a bright idea for the current Liverpool regime to be saying Gerrard is as good as it will ever get for them. It's all going tits up, no win and no goal for him in front of the Kop.
  19. There's one next to the Metrocentre that was still there a few weeks ago, now I think about it. When I was a poor student, my flatmate had the bright idea of doing all our shopping at Makro. He hadn't quite though it out, since it was a fucking long walk away, and even with rucksacks tins of baked bins and the like weigh a ton. Unsurprisingly it didn't last. I should really have been tipped off that he was a skinflint though by the fact one of the reasons he suggested it was because he was already a member. I spent most of that year chasing him up for his half of the rent and bills. Who says there's no truth to the stereotype about Scots?
  20. Jesus. Hell on Earth. I'm so glad I'm numb to it now......
  21. You can get Gerrard on player cam for the entire second half. It's officially a love-in for the greatest player Liverpool ever had (which was unbelievably the finding of the Football Focus poll earlier today).
