It would be nice if we got Ashby he turned out to be our Lamptey, given the Ashworth connection, except without the constant injuries. Brighton signed Lamptey off Chelsea for next to nothing.

Hopefully Ajax tell Chelsea to jog on. As someone was saying Luiz off Villa looks like he's definitely going to get sold judging by Gerrard's recent comments. I still think we'll pull a rabbit of two out of the hat before the window shuts tomorrow night. Whether that's a loan or two, or one permanent.

More than deserved a point, but we have to take the countless positives from the game. Isak looks class, the spirit and tactical organisation of the team is top class, and as people have rightly repeatedly pointed out we were missing three of our best players. If Bruno had of been playing tonight we likely would have been much more clever with the ball, which would have been priceless towards the end of the game.

11:00pm this Thursday. Or even tomorrow night at 11 to be less awkward about it.

Amadou Haidara off Leipzig has been mentioned as a possibility for a new DM this morning as well. We've been scouting him for a long while if memory serves me.

Arsenal have supposedly been negotiating a deal for Tielemans for months. Unless they've decided against it, it seems very unlikely he'll going anywhere but there. It does seem odd that Arsenal didn't sign him earlier in the window though, but maybe Leicester were waiting to secure a replacement before letting him go.

Tielemans is in the last year of his contract I think, so he should go for less than he normally would. You'd assume they'd still be looking for around the 30m mark. Plus Arsenal have been heavily linked, so I'm not sure how realistic these links are, but as people have said he'd be perfect for our midfield.

He'd been shite for a two or three season before last season, but last season he was one of the few players to come out of it with any credit apart from Ronaldo.

There's been more talk today in the Italian papers about Bakayoko. According to them he's looking to terminate both his loan agreement with Milan and his contract with Chelsea, so he can join us as a free agent. Don't know how realistic the second part if though, given that the reason Milan are ready to let him leave is that they don't want to pay the 15 odd million they'd be obligated to were he to keep playing for them. But yeah they're talking as if it's a done deal, but I suppose we'll soon find out. Think I'd probably prefer Dendonker out of who we've been linked to in the last few days, given he's already up to speed and used to the PL. Bakayoko I think may have played a few games for Chelsea, but that's a fair few years ago now. Obviously I'd rather Alvarez, but out of the more realistic options in these last few days of the window I'd go for Dendonker.

Hope is reporting that it's 6m and that it becomes an obligation to buy if certain milestones are met, and said milestones are very likely to be reached.

Hope backing up 90mins reporting.

90mins are alleging that we're in talks with Arsenal to loan Ainsley Maitland-Niles off them. He is a versatile player given he can player right back, right wing and centre mid, but you tend to think he's a jack of all trades master of none. Still he'd be a useful back up with Krafth out. Even if we are after him I'd imagine he'd rather join one of the bottom half teams where he was guaranteed more game time. Not much point in switching Arsenal's bench for ours, even if he'd likely get more minutes here.

I think you should take what a manager says in the last week of a window with a pinch of salt, given it could easily all be part of a negotiation, but yeah given what we've spent already I'd be surprised if we spent over 15-20m on a player, and indeed whoever we get in will likely be a loan, loan to buy or something else close to that description. With the Chelsea players looking difficult if recent reports are to be believed, we don't appear to have many quality options left in the loan market.
