Probably, at least in the sense that we have a chance of signing him in the near future as opposed to not even being interested. Their chairman is notoriously difficult to deal with. Having said that they signed him for 10m so they might be tempted to cash in early depending on the offer. I have heard that given his talent and only being 21 they value him at over 100m, so they probably think they can keep him for at least one more season before selling for something close to that. But again a lot can happen with form and injury in a season or two so they might be tempted to sell depending on their current financial situation.

You need new material mate. It would be a very quiet and boring transfer thread without rumours. Plus I think an article in the Times should probably pass the sniff test of being of a decent source and therefore of interest regardless of whether anything ever comes of our supposed interest in the player. ππ

Having looked into it a bit this Georgian lad, who I'll call Kev, would be cheap at the 50m that Hardy is quoting. I don't read the Times so I don't know how often Hardy makes claims about players that turn out to be false. Of course Hardy could be spot on in terms of us scouting him extensively, it just remains to be seen if we'd pull the trigger and how difficult it would be to do so if we are determined to sign him.

Newcastle identify Β£50m Napoli star as βmajor transfer targetβ - The Times | NUFC Blog It would be nice to have our own Kinkladze. If we sign this fella I think ASM leaving in the summer is a forgone conclusion. He'll perhaps even leave in Jan if the right offer came in.

Great experience for Kuol. If you can come on in the last 16 against Argentina and be unfortunate to not score, then the spotlight of the premier league shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Who's Lawrence Fox, and what's he got to do with Saka and Rashford? Was he caught sending them racist messages?

Iranians could be excused for being out of sorts given there's a civil war ongoing in their country where innocent civilians are being shot in the streets.

And if Wilson doesn't score a goal for the rest of the tournament and never plays for England in a major tournament again, will it still be the right decision to pass to Grealish when they were 5-1 up near the end of the game. And my response in the last comment was meant as a joke as well π

The gifs are out so you win the argument obviously π

I'm not having a go at him, I wanted him to score so he could have enjoyed that moment.

You're 5-1 up and it's probably going to be your one and only World cup, of course you go for it. Even Lineker and Shearer were baffled given both their mentalities when it came to scoring goals. If you're playing better opposition later in the tournament, and it's a tight game, then yes I can see the case for playing the percentages.

I wish Wilson had of just went for it. The game is well over by then, just belt it. People saying well he maybe just wants ingratiate himself with Southgate, but if I was a manager I'd want my striker to be a bit more greedy given the context of the game at that point. Obviously I couldn't care less what England do at the world cup, but I still want to see Tripps and Wilson do well, and Pope of course in the unlikely event he gets a chance.

Newcastle United: Club Sold To PCP - Official

Somewhat unfortunate that their logo includes two swords π¬π -
Man U getting Leicester would have been the perfect draw, but obviously we can't grumble. Leicester have started to pick up a bit of form and stilll have some dangerous players, and Man U are obviously up and down as often as some of your mams on here π, but again have some very dangerous players on their day. The only thing about the Man U draw is that Kompany will be desperate to get one over Man U, so they might cause an upset.

There is that, but I'm still traumatised from another team from Manchester beating us in the final of the FA Cup. We've improved dramatically this season obviously, and more than gave Citeh a game eariler this season, but the odds would still be against us in a final against them and it doesn't sting as much if you don't make it the whole way to a final only to lose. I won't be applying to be Howe's sports psychologist any time soon obviously π

I do as well to a certain extent, but obviously that's the perception around him. It's perhaps an unfair comparison to make when they're two of the best keepers in the world, but if you're playing in the PL you're always going to be compared to Alisson, Ederson; and in fairness to him T-Rex's distribution is top class as well.

We've Got Miggy + Gemmill On The Wings vs. Danks For The Emeries FC
Polarboy replied to Meenzer's topic in Newcastle Forum
If Fulham are confident of staying up come January it could be a financial calculation on their part if enough money is offered for him. It's not likely in fairness given how crucial he is for them, but he's definitely one to keep an eye on, even if again a January transfer is unlikely. -

Watching this Fulham game and Palhinha their defensive mid could be a shout for us come January. Alvarez off Ajax is rumoured to be a target of ours in that position, but there's likely going to be heavy competition for him. Palhinha has really hit the ground running for Fulham, and apart from Mitro he's their most influential and effective player.
