  1. Some very welcome good news in a sea of shit.
  2. The telly reason is a total load of bollocks, we've been on more than Man City and Tottenham. 500k per game, as if that makes a difference, someone like Jol would cost £2m more than Hughton a year anyway. Poor journalism from Bird who I know from years ago and is a really good lad. Whether its bollocks or not, people are only too willing to believe his only transfer policy is to make a couple million quid here or there (I don't think that way for the record, but lots of people do) so I don't know why the sky theory is so outlandish by comparison. Again, whether it's true or not.
  3. Tell you what like, it's sad as fuck how may times in the 10 year history of this message board and it's predecessor we've been in this situation saying the same things. You could literally cut and paste the Roeder, Souness, Allardyce, Keegan, JFK etc appointment/dismissal posts into this thread and you'd only need to change the names for it to read seamlessly.
  4. You can honestly believe the bit about wanting someone who'd court the sky camera's attention more. For fuck's sake.
  5. Need some advice? or one I threw back? Had a few pints with Matt in Didsbury on Sunday for the West Brom game. He confirmed your current and last few squeezes were all of a quality that backed up your claims. Galling was not the word tbh.
  6. We had such a straightforward remit for this season: stay up. Do you know what, he would have kept us up. If it's experienced managers you're after, they're not going to be any less experienced by next summer. If it's Pardew you're after specifically, you can safely assume he'll still be available then too. I just don't know where you start with this.
  7. Ha'way like man kid geeza This is a serious thread, do you think the club is in a crisis? poor results and managerial role up for grabs once again, something we know all to well. Or are you determined to take the piss? howay man. Aww go on like man lad kid, i think we are propa knacka'd like me man lad kid. Embarrassing mate, not even Carroll, wearing his famous, magic number nine jersey, could convince you to be serious. Haway like man lad, ya takin the piss from me or what like man kid geeza? Can't even 'av a propa conv'a'sation with you lot or anything like lad man, geeza. Do you think I'm a cockney or something? anyone elso know what this lad's getting at? i'm new to this board does he always type like a gimp? Just ignore the fucking rectum. He pipes down if you say nowt to him. Don't give him the steam off your piss.
  8. read it in the voice of that cat off the 'Charlie says' safety ads.
  9. £115 for smelly. Fucking hell Aye, I'm cleaned out now like. The other one was even dearer. Saw me coming tbh.
  10. He'd need to have smoked it all by the time he got here if we're to have any chance of appointing him.
  11. Bang the email address up mate. Aye seconded. http://www.leaguemanagers.com/about/keycontacts-4.html I kna it's not strictly relevant to what they do like but as that's where he's gone with his brief it seems fitting that they know the regard he was held in when they (hopefully) champion his case.
  12. I ended up with a match table and a stadium table. You think I'm joking.
  13. Quality subbuteo youtubing like, they just cheer me the fuck up whenever I watch them. Flares in the end terrace at 0.15 Great soundtrack.
  14. I'd have come in me pants if I'd had that subbuteo stadium when I was a young'un. I love how the lad has even put the perspex type barriers on either side of the away end. I built an absolutely mint ground up when I was young. Still got it all. Not as much attention to detail around the outside as those but inside was every bit as good. Plus I scaled everything better than those ones. There's some weird stuff on there too like. I'd be willing to bet this guy is probably mentally ill:
  15. Lilac wine. It's sweet and heady. Like your love.
  16. Yes! Can you actually believe that Liverpool won tonight Aye, might give them a bit of a boost for the game on Saturday which is a worry. Just as well we've got a few quiet days going into this one so we can get focussed and prepare properly.
  17. Heard any football news today like, Catherine?
  18. You can't smell like shit when you're awoo-ing tbh. Just ask Kriss Akabussi.
  19. Dont understand this post. If you wouldnt say no, think he's a class manager and he ticks all the boxes......Then surely Ashley would have made the right decision. (iyo) Not really. Preferable to have the consistency of retaining our longest serving manager since Robson, who's hardly put a foot wrong. As that can't happen now, you have to hope for the best. I dont disagree and would rather have kept hughton, but for those who "wouldnt say no to Jol" etc etc then surely in their eyes Ashley has made the right decision. Also not saying their view is wrong, just you cant have it both ways. It's not rocket science man. Jol is the best option now Hughton has gone. Capice? No, the point i was making is how we may view ashley. Today with Hughton sacked and Pardew on the radar he is a wanker. Tomorrow if he was to unveil Wenger then we would all agree he had made a good decision for the club. He has said he doesn't have anyone lined up. Which if true makes him reckles in the extreme and if false makes him a liar. Not a glowing testimonial either way. He hasnt said that at all If the club have got a replacement sorted then they can come out and deny all rumours apart from the true one. They can even stop short of naming the candidate, they just need to say they actually have the replacement identified. They haven't, which basically amounts to the same thing.
  20. And we already know he's a liar anyway sadly.
