1. Annalise is back? The cast will be crawling about on all fives in the next episode then. Or all fours in Paul Robinsons case of course.
2. It's a football thing pure and simple. In my experience though it's definitely a greater rivalry than the Man City/Man Utd or Liverpool/Everton equivalent. The main difference is that they are two distinct 'cities' (if you can accept Sunderland is a city without laughing til your arse bleeds) whereas that isnt the case with the aforementioned Scouse and Manc models. The main difference is with those teams its very very normal for families to have brothers sons grandsons mothers etc etc who are blue and red so although there is a rivalry you're much less likely to 'hate' someone for their allegiance if your own family members/friends have a similar faith. Also in terms of identity, the same people identify themselves with the same cities.
3. Newcastle airport aint much cop though tbh. Still at least Newcastle has a cinema. I always found it funny that Sunderland didnt have one til recently. How can any self respecting proclaimer of mackem civic standards have any come back from that?! 47280 What's up with it like? In the past two years I have flown to Dublin, Tenerife, Nice, Milan, London, Paris, Berlin, Barcelona, Malaga and probably quite a few other places from it. Beats the hell out of travelling to Manchester, and it is on the Metro. And flights to New York are starting shortly I hear. Also delays are usually minmal because there is no congestion. Nice little airport tbh. 47284 Chill out Rentboy! That sounded like a chip on a shoulder of mackem proprtions! Nah, just having a bit civic pride laugh 'n carry on. The fact it's starting to do long haul American flights is a big development.
4. Their problem with the Airport is twofold - As it was paid for largely by Tyne & Wear Council they reckon they paid for something that is too far away (doesn't stop them polluting it with their deckchair shirts every summer) and also that technically its in Wolisingham, Northumberland and not Newcastle so shouldn't be called that. Petty bastards? no.... 47282 To be fair, I think there are very few cities who have 'their' airports slap bang in their town centre. Most are out of town for very obvious reasons of space.

6. Agreed. Basically identical mate. 47256 Who is this Choc Chip fellow and why does he not know they are a bunch of sad bitter bastards that are jealous as fuck because they were born on the wrong side of the Tyne? 47260 He's from down south somewhere. Darlington I think he said.
7. I think its basically an airport fashion thing actually mate with folks off on their holidays. Anyway to bring you up completely up to speed, there have been moves to outlaw them in Manc on grounds of public decency as the three quarter length is seldom sufficient to completely cover the appendages of North Western males, Manchester being a well known geographical anomoly for oversize knackers due to the chemicals North West Water pump into our reservoirs. Incidentally SO, which arrivals hall were you picking the missus up from? Terminal 1,2 or 3? I used to work in terminal 1 arrivals - I sincerely hope you didnt buy a burger there. 47248 I don't understand, surely you'd need a wool hat (or similar) rather than long trousers to cover the penis of most of the mancs I've met. 47249 Knobjockey!

Retro sweets

yeah, you can buy them in your local newsagent as well, they've just brought em back out. Havent had one yet, scared to in case it ruins the nostalgia. 47011 I'm more scared of losing my fillings. Again. 47015 Wham Bars were the worst for that like. 47016 Aye, that and Highland Toffee bars. Once spent about an hour scraping all the wrapper off one of those bars (they always stuck to the actual bar itself) only for the bastard to take a filling out with my first bite. Wham chews were canny too. And refreshers.
10. He'll be trained by the ghost of Apollo Creed, no doubt. And only Rocky will be able to see him.
11. Many moons ago in one of the boards previous incarnations, Zathras posted a photograph which still haunts me to this day. I have no idea why he had it or why he posted it. That I suppose, remains a matter for him, his conscience and ultimately, his God.
12. yeah i was gonna say, wheres your pic then, as your're so quick to remark on others 45917 I was only messing about what I said about yours! And seriously, mine will never appear on these pages. 45923 But why the reluctance? tbh, looks are not important anyway, plus havent you met alot of those on here anyway? So theyve probably seen your ugly mug by now 45926 I've met Cath, but thats it. Alreetlikes photo of me and Alex (Alex refers above) is just a photoshop mock up, requested by Alex. I was quite alarmed when I was shown a copy, as you can probably imagine.

14. In all honesty, despite the hype, I take a fucking minging photo so you wont be seeing one of me either. Which obviously makes me sound like a right hypocrite, taking the piss out of those who have had the balls to post theirs on here. In fact, add coward to that too!
15. The size it is talking about is the file size (currently set to 10KB). This doesn't get adjusted, the only thing that does is the pixels - the file itself will remain the same physical size. 45858 Thanks craig, ive sent it to you 45870 Sorted 45903 Which one is she? And whats with the Rick Parfitt comedy wigs?
16. I'm gonna fuckin shut up here. Great film anyways!
17. The documentary about the making of it - 'Hearts of Darkness' (the film is losely based on 'Heart of Darkness' by Joseph Conrad) is also worth a watch. The amount of problems they encountered were ridiculous. Harvey Keitel was originally cast in Martin Sheen's role. After replacing Keitel, Martin Sheen had a heart attack. The film also went over budget and timescales massively (it was all filmed on location in S.E. Asia). The studio started pulling out and Coppola had to pour loads of his own money into it. Brando only turned up at the very end of filming and most of his scenes are in semi-darkness because he was so overweight. It all works beautifully in the end though. 45898 Martin Sheen's him out of the West Wing isn't it?! Some dickhead in my office told me it was Emilio Estevez in Apocalypse Now (hence the Molly Ringwald reference).
18. I've never seen Full Metal Jacket. I dont think I could watch it now either cos of all the Medina references on here.
19. Glad you enjoyed it mate, probably one of my top 5 films ever. Excellent film with a great cast. Highlighted the madness of what was taking place in Vietnam. 45894 Aye, I'd put it right up there myself an all. Just one of those ones that had somehow passed me by all these years. Could have used a Molly Ringwald cameo though if I'm being hyper-critical.
20. I'd say 50% of it was beautiful by all conventional standards. I take your point however.
21. It's a good film, but slightly overrated. I reckon Full Metal Jacket was better. Apocalypse Now was on again the other night. Now that is a film. 45880 Sorry, I meant Apocalypse now. 45884 JWTBQFH 45888 Schoolboy error. Brando was fucking awesome in it to be fair. Stole the show for me. Excellent anti-war message. Can't wait for the educational computer game shoot em up simulator.
