  1. They will give him a replacement one. It has happened to me in the Ashley era so if they managed to do it then I am.sure they would do it now
  2. Wood is a decent player to keep around for the bench. It means that when we go for our next person up top, we are well stocked in the department and the other team does not have us over such a barrel. If last night has anything to go by, we have Isak and Wilson who are miles ahead but Wood who can come in as number 3. You cannot be upset with his level of quality as our third choice.
  3. I wonder how many more of these emails we are going to send off before we realise that we have to actually insert a player's name? It must be awkward when we have to email them back to tell them which player we are after. We should have kept Ashley on as he finally seemed to get the football malarkey. He could have told them how this little blunder meant that he bought the wrong De Jong back in 2014
  4. It is a strange one as, from a far, I would have said that I liked Liverpool more than Manchester City. Based on the two games, the fans and Pep held themselves in far higher regard. Liverpool came across as the year group above playing football, starting the realise they they couldn't just expect to go into break and walk the game and started to spit their dummies out.
  5. 7th minute of the 5 minutes added on. Gutting for a first loss especially with the off side. It is gutting. So annoying that it is just total BS
  6. As much as I like a laugh as much as the next person. It was beyond ridiculous tagging in Priti Patel. She is probably doing her best to get him on a plane to Rwanda as we speak.
  7. I just assumed it was the equivalent of an automatic reply. I thought that maybe they had purchased a template to help them put in transfer offers and sent the same email out regardless of the player or their club.
  8. I thought we were supposed to like offering £25m
  9. They have a massive pile up of fixtures between now and the World Cup so I think he is more likely to get games there than here. It is a shame but I believe that everything has its time and maybe that is the way it is with him. Manchester United still also has a lot of stock world wide which will raise his profile a bit. I don't think it is the best or the worst decision he could be making.
  10. Part of me wonders if this is due to the way Bruno plays for us. I do wonder if he thought it would not give the balance we need. Alternatively, he may never have given him any thought. Either way, I am very impressed with the business that we have done so far.
  11. This tactic is working great lads. We need to apply it every game haha. Just for the record, I do agree with your post haha
  12. Is that a double gazump over both Arsenal and AC Milan?
  13. I'm a bit disappointed to be honest. Full window had been a let down. I don't care what anyone says about giving Mandy and co time. At least we knew where we stood with Ashley.
  14. I agree with the price. I just think we have a plan. Is he an England International?
  15. So if we do sign Isak for the fee being discussed, I wonder if some people will accept that we have a price structure for each player that we are willing to spend and stop being upset when we won't put in the extra 10-20M on a player like Maddison? Even if we do all want him here.
  16. I have the vague memory of Darlow being a decent goal keeper and and not understanding us getting Dubs or did we have Krull still?
  17. Who would have thought 12 months ago we would be benching Joelinton because we wanted to rest one of the better Premier League players and then we wanted him to come on to dish out a bit of retribution. Crazy times
  18. I cannot believe we are able to produce the level of performance not even considering where we were 12 months ago. I still go into any game expecting to lose and against Manchester City just expecting to accept the hammering. To watch such a shambolic performance from a referee and still be able to enjoy the game is amazing. I feel ashamed as I wasn't that impressed when we got Howe, not that impressed with Burn and I did not understand why we got Pope. What a massive turn around. I never thought I would feel like this about us again. Crazy times.
  19. Says a lot that it takes this level of play to score past us. I still believe. I've not felt like this for years.
  20. Genuinely loving the mild criticism of Miggy, Wilson play and Trippier's set pieces in this thread. Can we throw a few more mild insults below please?
