Will that not put him off? The Phantom Menace was a political space-drama. Absolute snooze fest.

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

Aye I meant to come back on this. I worked in audit for 6 years, and would spend weeks out at a client finding a bunch of shit they'd done wrong/bent in their favour. The partner would come out on the last day, spend an hour with the CFO, and come out in agreement that none of what we'd found was material and they could stick with what was there in the first place. Auditors work on materiality. The sums that we're talking about might not even have registered as worthy of testing, never mind been flagged up. -

The very last para in the conclusion references the leaked emails and basically says there is no evidence that they went through with the plan that is outlined in the email. As the twitter thread states, the evidence that is lacking is the bank statements to evidence the movement of funds. The conclusion doesn't question that there was an intention and a request to funnel shareholder funds through sponsor payments. They just can't prove that the plan was put into action because presumably they can't demand the paper trail from companies that aren't under investigation (the sponsors). I know you dont believe there was wrongdoing but it looks pretty smelly to me. -

Sounds like he's taking Shaw who can't stop breaking down with injury. Seems a canny risk. Suppose he can start Trippier on the left but take players who aren't a massive injury risk, Gareth. -
Our current shirts are a nightmare for picking out player numbers on the back tbh. There should just be two versions released, one with black and white stripes on the back for Joe Public, and one with the white back for the actual team and anyone who wants a number on the back.

Actually Sunak's jumped by 7 too, so I now don't know what's going on.

Pretty chunky approval bounce for Starmer.

I actually think his speech impediment could prove to be a strength here.

Aye, there was a lad on the Athletic podcast, someone mentioned overrated managers and his answer was Klopp. Won one league title. Lineker saying "he would have win a lot more if he wasn't up against the best of all time, Guardiola". Well he would have won two cos they finished second twice. How many other managers do we have to imagine don't exist to give Klopp his imaginary league winning props. -
Wasn't it supposedly down to Freedman and Spors?

I'm just pleased to see the back of the prick. But unfortunately he's probably already in talks with ITV and the BBC to cover this summer's Euros as a pundit. -

The self indulgence of these pricks man. They really think the eyes of the whole country were on Anfield. Singing their fucking stupid saccharine anthem. Klopp didn't know who won the league cos, like all of them, he also thought the whole day was about him. Bring on another sub-standard Dutch slaphead, and get this lot back to also-ran status. -

If we do firm up an interest in Solanke, that stat will be a big part of why we're interested.

He seems like a really good lad. As Alex says, stuff like this is priceless for that kid.
