I never did link to it in my signature. Seems you're not quite as intelligent as you like to believe. Happy to send you the link if you think you're bright enough to have a go though. You'll have no problem with the HT flying around, being as how you're so intelligent, like.

Is anyone actually still saying that on here, as I don't think they are. Even Gemmill has given in. 79516 Won't stop him beating the drum about it for the next god-knows-how-long though... 79703

No, we won't. Souness and his band of 'yes men' will. Mind you, he's pretty shite anyway, so I hope we don't sign him.

Totally agree.

Ameobi out for the rest of the season?
Howaythelads replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
If Luque starts showing some workrate, heart and desire to play for the club then he won't be a scapegoat. It's ironic that the people leaping to the defence of Luque, despite the fact he's shown very little effort so far, are the very same people who slagged off Robert for not showing enough effort. Makes me laugh, tbh. I hope Luque succeeds, his demoralised attitude is very likely another symptom of the Souness Effect, but the fact is, he doesn't look at all interested and that's nowt to do with fitness, or needing time to settle in. BTW Ameobi is a liability, gives away more freekicks than any Newcastle player I've ever seen because he's out of his depth at this level of football. First division player at best, or whatever it's called this week. -
Good of you to admit you've been deliberately abusing me in your posts. Your paranoia is also coming through loud and clear.

I feel even more sorry for you now. I suggest you get a life, there must be something you can find to do other than making a note of when I login, and counting how many posts I make. Try girls, or is the acne a problem?

Is anyone actually still saying that on here, as I don't think they are. Even Gemmill has given in. 79516 There are only two people on here that keep saying it: Leazes Mag and HTL in their constant attempts at point-scoring. 79525 Because I still find it totally unbelievable that anyone, EVER, thought that fuckwit would lead us anywhere other than in the shit like now And believed all that utter crap about happy dressing room, better off, blah blah We said we would be where we are, people said otherwise, we are saying now we are in real danger of being in a real relegation scrap unless he goes, and surprise surprise, complacency and blind optimism kicks in again 79535 Don't say that. According to Gemmill it means your mad and have no right to any comment. 79570 Show me where I said that please. Thanks in advance. 79571 Can't be bothered to find the exact posts Gemmill, but you said several times I was mad, or words to that effect, when I suggested relegation was a possibility in the summer. And this was before we signed Owen (who no-one believed we would get) - without the points we have got from him I would say relegation would be almost a certainty, wouldn't you? I know you will probably answer this with some smart arse reply to divert attention from it, but unfortunately I was right it seems, so maybe I'm not as mad as you like to make out. 79623 Yup, all true. I was a wanker, nob and a mackem for saying the same. Be careful Renton, you're not allowed to mention 'you know who'..

It's nowt to do with point scoring, it's trying to get the message across to those who appear to need a bloody jumbo jet attached to their heed to drag it out of their arsehole. 79573 I'm truly sorry that I don't think we're going to be relegated. It seems to have really annoyed you. Another mention for me in one of your posts though..... 79577 Aye, that's the enormous total of TWO. The other ONE being by Shearergol. By the way, you don't annoy me, you make me laugh. I feel sorry for you, Gemmill.

Yes No You don't. Just some, because you've started aiming abuse toward me again, otherwise I wouldn't mention you at all.

That happening for a year and a half?? No chance. 79300 Eh? No, the injuries are taking their toll now and we were the better side yesterday. FACT. 79301 Look mate, im not denying injuries havent had an effect on our performances since graeme came. They definitely have, but to hold them responsible for a year and a half of complete mediocrity is rubbish. Everytime we lose, souness starts whinging about the long injury list. Ive seen quite a few gutless spiritless performances under graeme. We've stooped to new lows under him. And we im not just complaining about yesterday when he said we were the best team. Ok, maybe we were the best team yesterday. But to be honest, ive watched almost all the games we've played under graeme on TV, we've deserved most of the failure thats come our way. Ive been near to tears, head hanging down in shame, with some of the performances we've put in under him. The club's lost a lot of dignity and self-pride, we've become something of a joke. And that just isn't OK with me. Lets all face it, Souness is a complete nitwit and has caused huge damage to our beloved club which is why I hate the man, and I will hate him forever. May, as in the words of souness, 'lady luck shine upon us' and we be rid of this parasite. 79549 Good post, that. Don't know what it's going to take for Gemmill to admit he's wrong by still supporting Souness. Anyway, we'll probably all have a different opinion on what the strongest XI might be, but I reckon there were games earlier in the season when he had what looked pretty close to his strongest XI. Certainly only maybe 2 players missing and we were still shite. Bearing in mind only 11 players can actually take part, how many changes could be made to this team, for example: Given Ramage Taylor Bramble Babayaro Solano Parker Emre N'Zogbia Shearer Owen This was the opinon from the supporters at .com: Truth was, we didn't really look like scoring and our dynamic engine room full of door openers struggled to a get a grip on the handle - their task not being helped by the frequent aerial bombardment that passed over their heads and made Owen virtually redundant.

At least you've finally stopped wanting to 'give him more time'.

Making jokes on the NUFC forum makes you not a real supporter you know Alex. 79451 I disagree. What a shite attitude, that is. 79453 The irony! It was you that told me I wasn't a real supporter when I make a light-hearted remark you didn't like. Priceless! 79458 Rubbish. I've never made any remarks about anybody not being a real supporter. In any event, the comment was a joke. 79464 A joke you say? Righto then. I'll go and look for the post where you told me I wasn't a supporter if you like. 79466 That's right. A joke. Happy hunting. 79485 ahem... and... 79495 Ok. I could go on about you ignoring the context of the comments, but I won't bang on about it, because for me it is all water under the bridge. So instead of dragging it all up again I'll apologise to you for those comments. How's that?

Sunderlands first half display today against Chelsea is better than what we're seeing from Souness's team. But let's give him more time, wait until he's got his first choice team on the pitch, like.

Incorrect, the next one in the sequence should have been 16 ?'s 79435 You're obviously prone to long-winded waffle. One ? was enough. 79446 What did you mean then? 79447 ?

<<<<< speechless >>>>>>>>> 79408 Are you taking the piss? I've mentioned it several times on this board that I thought this was the case regarding Souness attitude to Robert and Bellamy. 79409 I said I wasn't taking the piss....... if you have said this Ok, but the only noticeable poster, to me, thats said what I have said about Souness and Bellamy from day 1 is Renton 79416 ?
-
Had he spent the Owen and Luque money on perhaps 5 ~£5m players, earned his wages by managing Bellamy and Robert, plus kept hold of Hughes, I reckon we'd be doing pretty well to be honest. That would have given him 6 extra players in the squad to choose from. Egotistical twát never thought of that though, did he? The man's a wanker, end of. To have spent £50m and then claim we still need 6 players shows just how fcuking incompetent this bloke is. Still, he has his players and he's been given time, so some people are happy.
-
Some will actually agree with that, mate. 78927 How could they not agree, Souness, McDermot and Anal Oliver have all in the past said/reported its the best ever team spirit so it must be true!!! Seriously though i have never feared relegation and i still don't even with the world biggest prick in charge. What i have always feared was mind numbingly dull and depressing notthingness, not relegated but not challenging for anything, no entertainment, no hope and being angry at the match all the time! 78981 If we lose our next couple of matches I think you might start fearing the worst.

Didn't you say on another thread, as recently as yesterday, that people are different? And having spent time in another country you'll no doubt be aware of cultural differences too. 79091 Yes, I did. Everybody is different. I did say 'Generally, most people"....
-
As you said in a different thread though, football is different. When you worked abroad, you probably worked full-time alongside some fellow Brits (or at least people who spoke your language) so you probably didn't have the problems of having to fill large tracts of spare time. I'm not saying players have it tough compared to the 'real world' but I can understand how some could feel lonely, isolated and homesick. Also, given the money the clubs spend on these players it's crazy not to spend a (relatively) small amount of cash on making sure they have the best chance possible to settle. 79080 Some fair points and I can't really argue much. However, I do think these people are privileged beyond belief, they shouldn't have a problem at least getting themselves some tuition in the language, Alex. They may find it tough filling in their time, but they could try extra training, for example.
