i made the following point yonks ago..... Each manager has been appointed on the basis on the failures of his predecessor. For example: Dalgleish appointed as a proven winner cos Keegan never won out. Guillitt appointed to give us sexy football as Dalgleish style of football was a bit bland. Robson appointed (partly) cos of his father figure man managment skills as Guillitt fell out with players Souness appointed to restore discipline as Robson had 'lost the dressing room' Roeder appears to be a break in the chain but only cos he was the cheap option.

Why does it say 'Kickoff in 007 days'? Shouldnt it be 'Kickoff in 7 days'?

thing is - why buy into clubs (and either lose money or make a limited return) when you can buy players (and sell them at huge profit)? this is the future tbh.

I stated the other day that i thought we'd be able to look back at our aquisitions during the summer window and say that we'd done ok. at the time we'd had purchased duff and martins only and there was plenty time to bring in players for the other positions that needed filling. I was also trying to stay positive as the club does occasionally leave me 'pleasantly surprised' with its transfer dealings. now that the transfer window has closed and sum of our dealings is a midfielder, a striker, another striker (on loan) and a midfielder (who can also play as a striker) i wish to retract my previous statement and i now wish to officially state that we have done SHITE. i realise that we dont have unlimited funds and that some players simply might not wish to come to St James Park but still....

Well i for one cant wait
