Why would opting to sign at a much reduced salary be seeing sense? If somebody is willing to offer him the same salary as he gets now to move on I'd say it would be senseless to stay.

As we don't know what the other players are getting salary wise, its difficult to say if his reported wage demands are too high. You have to wonder how much the likes of ameobi is on and how much perch is getting. Or Williamson. Williamson and Routledge were good signings IMO. Yeah they were but...Best and Perch Best was a signed because we needed a striker and our preferred targets either wanted to stay put (Beckford) or move elsewhere (Moses). I don't think that colour affects your ability to sing but I do think that colour seems to affect your ability to sing in certain styles. In the case of blacks because they opted for a certain style like Motown or blues . This may be an over generalization as there are exceptions to everything, but is a fair rule of thumb.
