Soham killer Huntley to sue over throat slash attack

Dig a fuck-off big pit and chuck the likes of him, Roy Whiting, Peter Sutcliffe, Ian Brady, Rose West, etc into it and leave a few hungry tethered wild animals at the top. Let nature sort it out Exactly, that's certainly a creative way of dealing with it. I really despise lefty fuckwits who spout their holier than thou bullshit, I mean just how would they feel towards such people if for example one of these murderers had raped and tortured one of their family members prior to slowly killing them? Who gives a flying fuck if a murderer can change? They deserve to die for their crimes, simple as that. Exactly. I might listen to that sort of stuff if its coming from the families of the kids who've been raped and murdered, they've gone through just about the worst thing imaginable and if they say they don't want the guy put to death, then fair play to them. But as you said, some smug, holier than thou type telling everyone they're basically arseholes for wanting a child raping murderer dead can shut up until its happened to their family and they really understand it. They post on this board. On this thread. Let's get them. -
Two ip addresses so you can argue with yourself?

Not true. A few months after Cole moved, Arsenal paid a new record fee for Bergkamp so they could afford him. That's not to say they were in for him but they could afford him. Also, who is to say that Keegan shopped him around when he claimed that Gillespie was key to the deal? That was also well thought out.
-
Manu were already better than us when they signed Cole, do you seriously think we were not better off with Ferdinand and in the longer term Shearer, than if we had kept Cole ? ManU, if they had signed Shearer instead of Cole, would have pissed all over everybody and won even more than they did. I never said that. Read the post. I said Manu came out of that best because, IMO, getting Cole kept them ahead of us even though we improved with Ferdinand, especially in his first season. If we had sold Cole to another team I've no doubt he would've improved them as well but I think he just kept manu ahead of us and maintained that gap. Andy Cole was only 24 when we sold him and manu would look at it as money well spent considering the goals and years they got out of him. If Ferdinand had decided to stay longer instead of going back to his roots things might have been different but at least we got our money back, I suppose. I also never said we'd be better off without Shearer. I absolutely agree that if manu got AS and he kept healthy then there would not have been any point in having a season, just give them the trophy in August. In fact, give them all of them.
-
Aye, perhaps you might be right for a two year period.
-
I never said selling Cole was a mistake. I said selling Cole to manu was an absurd decision because you don't sell a player like that to your main rivals. It set them up for years as almost 100 goals speaks for itself. Also, as things turned out, Ferdinand had only two years here before he was off to spurs whereas Cole had over five years at manu. I'd say that they got the best of that deal....meaning Keegan opting for a new direction in preferring Sir Les to Cole.
-
Like him or not, there is a way to deal with replacing him and citeh showed they had absolutely no class at all.
-
I don't think signing Cole hurt them, thats for sure. 93/195 appearances according to wiki is a good return over about 5 years and allowed them to keep pace with us and Ferdinand for that two year period. I think he was a big part of it but they had a lot of good players, just like us but as you say, a bit more experience. Venison was a good player but didn't he have a run in with Keegan about something and looked like he was on the outs after that? Still played but there was a bit of tension. I can't remember why and then he was gone. Couldn't have been much over 30 either.
-
I'd love to ask Keegan his thinking around this some day as I think it was a critical decision that manu definitely came out ahead. Ferdinand was short lived here in comparison. Anyway, I wonder what would've happened if we had decided to keep Cole and just find the money to buy Ferdinand and play them both up front? Admittedly, we may not have signed Shearer in that scenario, he may have gone to manure, stayed injury free and......so on. Might have been worse for us but an interesting thought. Cole and Ferdinand. And Beardsley.

I'm not a fan of Man Utd just hugely respectful of them. It's funny the main clubs who hate the most, like your own are all total wanks, Leeds, Liverpool, Everton, Man City etc... I have no idea what goes on in your fantasy world. Are you just pulling clubs out of a hat? You don't have a clue do you if you're honest? You are right. I don't. As I said, you are 37 going on 12. Mnau's fans ensure they should be rated at the bottom. They are all twats.

So in your opinion, LM, Keegan did the right thing? Setting manu up for years in the goalscoring department? I understand hindsight is 20/20, but you didn't have to be a mental giant to work out that this would come back to bite us in the arse. Any board has to go along with their manager even if the decision is, IMO, as absurd as this one was? Sell him by all means, but not to your main rival. Gillespie wasn't that good. I honestly don't think Keegan thought this one through.
-
Or rather comes out I should say.

Closet manu fan gets outed.

I hated him as a player but IMO he's not a bad manager at all. Shocking treatment at citeh. I think he'll do well at Fulham...but then I thought Messi would dominate in the WC.
-
I've changed me mind. Hopefully a good couple of weeks of training will get him raring to go.

I've never heard that about Cole and drugs. If he was taking any drugs it certainly didn't affect his performance. I'd be inclined to think it would've shown up in a medical as well so I'd have thought manure would've knocked him back. Anyway, it wasn't the brightest move selling him to them at almost a goal every two games. Its not true to say that manure were the only club that could afford him either as arsenal broke that record only a few months later. Without looking it up, I'd bet that other players moved for sizeable fees around that time as well. Then there was the possibility of shopping him abroad. Anywhere but manu. We are on the same page regarding the Hall/Shepherd era, LM. Anybody who disagrees with that is arguing for arguing sake when you consider the under acheivement of the last 50 years or so. Saying that, in true Newcastle fashion, the club's commitment from board to manager and players didn't match up to that of the fans. Hall and Shepherd did OK for themselves just as did Westwood and McKeag. Hall and Shepherd just gave us a lot more than them but at the end of the day we still didn't win. Had a good time admittedly but the clubs who lifted the trophy had better ones. I was watching 500 greatest goals in a bar the other night and Peter Beardsley scored a cracker for England. I'm not sure of the game, but first one to congratulate him was Waddle and then Gascoigne so it must have been about 1990 I think. Makes you wonder what if..........what if we weren't a selling club and had those three players and added a few more? What if we actually got everything right...board, manager and players....and our acheivements matched our level of support? Then we'd be a big club.
-
Perhaps you shouldn't get involved if you can't get it right. Even when you have google to help you out. Mick Jones was the centre forward. Pedantic. I actually knew that too, but didn't get involved because I don't have a soft spot for Leeds. Then why bother now?
-
I think its you that has it wrong LM. I appreciate virtually everything that KK did and without him we wouldn't have had those years. Same for Hall and Shepherd. But once again, the abilities, commitment, decision making, sheer desire to win ....call it what you will but I think it is epitomized by SAF.....did not match the level of support from the fans. And for one reason or another, none of them saw it through. We were that close but in true Newcastle fashion the whole thing went tits up. Keegan couldn't handle it. SAF would never have ran away like him. He would've made sure that a couple of new players would be brought in for the next season and go head to head again. But it was a huge mistake by Keegan to sell Cole to manure. It's not hindsight as you just don't sell a player like him to your main rival because you are twenty plus goals down straight away. Sell him to everton or west ham or even spurs, not manure. Keegan was fantastic but not perfect by any means and could've thought this through a bit. He is not beyond criticism unless you are nosewater. I thought Dalglish was the perfect replacement for Keegan and the board did a great job to get him. I still cannot believe that things went south because I rated Dalglish but Shearer's injury was key. I have to wonder if SAF wouldn't have gone out and bought somebody straight away. Another mistake? Same pattern? SBR was an inspired appointment but ten years too late. And I don't blame him at all, but I do fault the players who got him sacked. Dyer in particular, the twat. If I have one thing against SBR it is that throughout his career he never gave us a second glance until he was getting too old. In his heyday he would sorted the likes of dyer out straight away. I have absolutely no idea what you mean by your last paragraph, LM. When I've already said we had a decade of shite managers, why would I want more? I hate to say it, but I certainly don't rate Hughton. For a team that packs in 50,000 and a "big" club, we shouldn't have a coach for a manager.
-
It was alright. Two unnecessary digs at KK took the shine off it for me. We were in danger of becoming one-dimensional with Cole so selling him for Gillespie then buying Sir Les with the money was fine by me. Also, you cannot say he lacks backbone. If anything he stands up for his principals too much. You just don't get it, do you? Selling Cole was not the point. It was selling him to manure. Secondly, we needed a manager who was going to roll up his sleeves and go head to head with SAF. We didn't have one, after all.

I assume you are laughing at him, rather than with him.
