I'm waiting to be amazed but I have very little confidence in Houghton's ability to spot a good player.

It is probably an age thing, but there is no doubt in my mind that the quality of music in the last twenty years or so is nowhere near as good as it was in the era you mention. Apart from a handful of artists, most of them produce the odd good track, an album that is primarily shite, and then tend to drift to mediocrity. THe only thing that keeps a lot of them in the business is that the majority of music these days is rubbish,IMHO. Comparatively speaking.

Lets hope he's no another amdy fucking faye.

Man U are paying £69m interest a year on their debts.

I wish we were in that shit with them. You know that shit...champion's league, shot at winning every domestic trophy and the liklihood of getting at least one...rather than our brand of shit. -
You could say that about most of the team.

The Secret Diary of Lee Ryder (aged 44 and a half)

If you think ameobi is not that bad then I'm not sure who the idiot is. There can't be much in it, IMO. -
he is finding the best he can for 1m quid man. Exactly my point as you get nowt for a million quid these days. And that is no better and probably worse than we have already. Like Best, FFS. well, it isn't a player he thinks can help us is it ? It means he's being forced to operate with his hands tied behind his back. He may be but that doesn't change the fact that he won't be making any signings that raise the quality of this squad. Could well be the reason but so what? We all know that.

that's why it's massive. it's obvious we're operating on a smaller budget than in the past but either ashley puts his fingers in his pockets and gives us a fighting chance, or he reverts to type and only gives hughton the kind of cash that allows us to get one or two more perch type signings. it's a huge window. if he doesn't act now, it may be too late come december to save us, like last time. and if we go down again, there's no guarantee we'll bounce straight back up again. ashley still has time to allow hughton to add quality to the squad. if he doesn't, he's taking a pretty big punt, if you ask me. I'll be very surprised if Fat Mike funds any player that will make a difference to this team. In fact, I've already accepted that Houghton will tow the party line when his potential targets fall through and spout off about his confidence in his squad. Thats why I don't see this window as massive for us. He might be a nice bloke, but I perceive him to be a third rate manager in charge of a mediocre team. Unfortunately for us.

I don't see this as a massive window for us as I doubt if Houghton has either the money or ability to bring in any players that will make a difference. If Perch's display is indicative of the quality of player that Houghton thinks can help us then more warm bodies of this calibre won't matter.

Shut that cunt up anyway.

Tom Hicks has just sold the Texas Rangers baseball team for just under $600 million a few hours ago. Not that he'll see much of it as he defaulted on a huge loan last year and the club was auctioned off. I can't see him turning down a decent offer as he's in a hole.

Difficult to say anything good about any player that doesn't try in a game. Especially a frog.

It's the whole tone and implications in your post. Very common in your threads because you pander to the anti-American sentiment on here. You remind me of Smithers. Fucking pathetic, tbh.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/theeditors/2006...y_theory_1.html Cheers. Back on my original horse then of the government doesn't need to collect personal info as they already collect enough data on the "bad guys" to get them identified, etc. etc. And Parky, if you don't think four guys could take over a plane in 18 minutes, you severely overestimate the average American airline passenger's intestinal fortitude/ underestimate the power of shouted commands by scary brown people with box cutters prior to 9/11. These were cubicle dwelling stooges for the most part on another business trip- not special forces or hell even firefighters. These were people who for the most part did exactly what they've been told to do for God knows how long in their lives. I'm not mad at them, but being mad at people like that for not fighting back is like being mad at a lesbian for not wanting to kiss you- it's just not in their nature. And you are different how? Good job for the hijackers that you weren't on the plane, eh? Then all those months of planning would've just gone tits up.

I was talking to a teacher from Glasgow a few months ago and he said it went back a good few years to decisions made at the school level to not consider sports as a significant factor in grading teachers. At that time, a lot of the younger teaches said fuck that and didn't pick it up. He has been running the school team for years but doesn't get anything for doing it apart from the enjoyment but he's not sure there'll be anybody banging on his door to take over the team once he retires. Basically saying that a major factor in the decline, but not the only one, is in schools. And that has an impact all the way up the ladder.
-
I'm not sure he started that well but he definitely got progressively worse. I also didn't see any of the new skills he's referring to.

These things happen all of the time. If you are going to point it out every time you'll be kept busy unless you are just limiting it to certain players.

It's on myp2p.eu but you aren't missing much.

Jobless mother of eight. Why am I not surprised? What a fucking parasite.

My criteria of geordie is from Newcastle upon Tyne or Gateshead. I'll give you Gosforth Park to the North and Wallsend to Wylam. Heworth to Ryton. That's my interpretation. Whitley Bay for eg have a different accent in my view. Listen to how they say Tyneside. Looks like I'm well in, then.

It's fucking sad that this crisp thread seems to be generating more interest than a season that is only two weeks away. I like Doritos but they pack the beef on you.

The only people making anything out of a lawsuit are, as usual, the lawyers. Laughing all the way to the bank. -

Anybody with any balls would, LM. That excludes half this board though. They'd be happy with a handful of years served and the certain knowledge that the murderer had paid their debt to society. Not much value on that life taken when you think about it.
