Not at Newcastle.

A reported four year contract for an 18 year old player who hadn't featured for his club in the french league which is rubbish. And who had attracted the attention of manure....according to his dad. Coming To Newcastle on a free. Looks like we can't go wrong here. Is Dennis Wise still on the payroll?
-
In fact, let's hope hughton does not look on here for ideas.
-
Not in a million years.
-
I missed this when it was first announced. Is he still in the job?
-
Not much in it if you ask me. Both of them are out of their depth in the premier league along with quite a few others unfortunately. Add a deer in the headlights manager with no fucking idea about substitutions and it looks like a long hard winter.
-
Neither of them would get a start in a decent team. Gutierrez looks good going past a couple of men but he needs to get far more consistent with the final pass. Perch is a fucking huge problem. Shite defender, offers little or nothing going forward and is uncomfortable on the ball often playing short passes to marked men just to get rid of it. Makes Routledge look worse because he offers fuck all on the RHS. I didn't think his game could get any worse but I'd now rate him as bad as the worst RBs I've seen at Newcastle in my time. If we don't get rid of him he'll continue to cost us points. Forest fans must be have a right laugh if they watch him and read Hughton's quotes.

Fidel follows Dave - Cuba to cut one million public sector jobs

I've already said that I don't know what the truth is one way or another. As for international statistics I don't share your absolute certainty that they are 100% accurate. Call me cynical, but I'm not convinced it wouldn't be beyond imagination that Cooba actually embellishes data. No, surely Castro wouldn't do that. When you've watched all the wheels come off the wagon its difficult to keep rolling along but I suppose some people will still try to make an argument that its a great place to live. Providing they don't have to live in the dictatorship, of course. Gone are the days of "Take me to Cuba". -

I don't know if it is either. -

Really? Or is that just what they want you to believe? I have no idea what the truth is. There is such a thing as communist propaganda. Or facts, I suppose, to the likes of you. -
Like they said about Keane, he's a twat but he's our twat. You should be getting behind Barton now that he's playing well. The potential of a Barton, Tiote and Arfa with a player that actually has some end product, which we don't seem to have as yet, would be the best midfield we've had for a long time.

And they are clearly very happy now. Poster child for communism, Cuba. I want a piece of that pie. -

The rest of the Carribean countries aren't exactly thriving are they? - I suppose they'll have to go all out on tourism but I don't know if that will support the whole population - freedom of emmigration will probably be a problem for the US. I remember being struck by how bad the American attitude to them was when Clinton who I thought was a decent bloke, early in his presidency stated that nothing was going to change and basically called them worse than shit. I know there are rights issues but the bullying by the US going back 45 years is fucking pathetic - not helped by the bitter bastards in Florida who you'd think would be happy they'd escaped. Aye, I suppose you have to take into account the American mindset though. They look at Western Europe with suspicion because of our evil socialist ways, so to have a fully fledged communist country on their doorstep is an anathema. I went to Cuba last year and had mixed feelings. On the one hand there was undeniably less extreme poverty than many other countries I have visited like Jamaica, and look at its neighbour Haiti. On the other hand, there was no doubt the people were oppressed and lacked basic freedoms such as the right to travel abroad. If Cuba opened fully for US tourism, the country would be transformed beyond recognition within a generation, as it is the perfect destination for Americans. There'd obviously be winners and losers during this transition, probably more in the latter category. Is the average Russian better off now than 25 years ago I wonder? You mean like it used to be before the communists took it over and made it such a success. -
Looks and sounds like a twat, tbh.

tiotes debut and Ben arfa's first full game.
sniffer replied to tinofbeans's topic in Newcastle Forum
I thought Tiote had a hell of a game, especially for a debut. Was he really as good as I thought or was it just that he was so much better than what I've been used to with Smith? -
Sometimes I don't think he is learning fast enough. I think he is slow in making his substitutions when it is obvious to the onlooker a change should be made. Against Everton Routledge was not having much of an impact, Hughton should have replaced him with Jonas at halftime. I sometimes think Smith is getting unnecessary flak when you consider he gained prominence as a striker. Maybe he would be an asset behind Carroll or up front with him. I hope Wilson can do better than Perch when he is fit. By the way, if you've missed me doing the odd post, I've been in Gateshead and around for 5 weeks. Was at the Villa & Blackpool matches, talk about High & Low. FFS

I'm amazed by how many Evertonians hate Moyes to be honest. Best manager you've had since Harry Catterick imo. Providing you don't want to include actually winning trophies as a measure of a successful manager.

Did Defoe's count double or something? Never mind. It's not worth it.
-
Not the hatrick itself, which was welcome of course, but it summed up ameobi. People will look at it and think, hmmm, hatrick he must be a quality player. When in reality, the goals weren't that great. Contrast it with Defoe. Now that was a hat trick.
-
Understandable really when the two main features of his game are continually fouling and the fact that he's never grasped the off side rule. On the same day Defoe scored a hat trick. Seeing them back to back was laughable.
-
Your arse must be tightening up as we get closer to the match, Parks.
-
262 so I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt in 7 and I think thats too high. Even when he opened up with tyhat hat trick last season it was the worst fucking hat trick I've ever seen.
-
Monkeys, typewriters, shakespeare, infinite time. 260 games is a lot of games when 255 have been useless.
-
That sums up whats wrong with him to me though. A lot of history's better players, Henry for example, were accused of being ineffective in the big games. I would argue that that's more to do with the fact that the bigger teams have better defences and as a result Henry didnt get the time or space he liked against the lesser teams. With Shola though it was the other way around. If he can score against Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool etc. then he should walk it against the smaller teams. That suggests to me that he can only motivate himself to step up to that next level in the big games. I think it's probably more a mental thing with Shola than any issues with his skill level. He's always being acknowledged as being brilliant in training.
