shame he was not in place instead of Souness. The moeny thrown away then could have been utilised a lot better than it was. Glad we have Owen mind and chuffed we have duff, a couple more quality buys like that would allow us to step up a gear. just hate this waiting every season upto the deadline......

On MOTD he looked on fire, WTF, you would think in all the time he was at newcastle he could have at least shown that and more than glimpses of what he was capable of.

Boring....... I feel overall Richard should have won it......

a meeting of the minds, one might say 177928 The strange thing is the little fella normally wins. End up walking around like a blind-zombie trying to find a towel. 177929 a towel? nah man dont you mean a sock? 178151 But the wifes socks are them ankle ones, fill that in a shot

According to the chronicle, council workers in Newcastle cant say any of these words any more in case they upset members of the public. What planet are we living on?

from football 365 Newcastle are reported to have agreed a £5million fee with Fulham for the transfer of Dutch international striker Collins John. Cottagers ace John, 20, was the club's leading scorer in the Premiership last season with 11 goals, despite only making 16 league starts. According to The Guardian, Toon chairman Freddy Shepherd believes the Dutchman can make a real impact at St James' Park and is attempting to push through a transfer before the big kick-off this weekend.

apparantly thaty might be true.....

Making a cup of coffee is like making love to a beautiful woman. It's got to be hot. You've got to take your time. You've got to stir gently and firmly. You've got to grind your beans until they squeak. And then you put in the milk.

i loved swiss toni, until they tried to make him more than a sketch character, then it was the undoing of a superb character.

saw some sketches recently on UK Old i think it was and yes some look dated, but some just always tickle in the right places. The vicar with the large teeth got me everytime..... cannot remember his name though 164054 And the blonde - Mandy was it? 164056 a voracious blonde "Ooh, you are awful ... but I like you!"

I love little britain, but the scetches have no place in the top 20 last night. I love some of the timeless humour, the fork handles sketch showed how excellent at wordplay the two ronnies were, there were numerous monty python sketchs there, the yorkshireman's sketch should have been in the top two, "i used to sleep in t'septic tank" - "oh used to dream of t'septic tank" etc, "tell kids these days...." Morcambe and Wise i thought and still think were excellent showing you do not have to swear to get a funny joke across. Their sketch dancing behind Tom jones was a class apart. The I know my place class sketch from the frost report with cleese/barker/corbett Dick emery should have got a sketch or two in there as should have Les Dawson, some of that comedy is as fresh and funny today, showing most of the new upto date humour is just rehashes of good quality humour from days gone by. sorry to rant on but there is so much missed by a supposedly upto date list which bore no resemblance of good top notch humour that this country is and has been capable of... here endeth the lesson

No, but at the world cup he told Rooney to go out and smash some balls into the turf...... or am i just blaming souness for everything these days......

No doubt all will be forgiven and all 20 fans at the opening game will be calling for MH back as soon as possible since they are now the top team in the North East.

That is one of the funniest things i have read, what planet are they on. Seems from reading this that the only reason we got Duffers is because a) he is on £100k per week plus massive signing on fees Spurs are one of the top 4 teams in the league and chelsea did not want to sell onto a team who they are threatened by c) he obviously is not as good as they thought as he was only £5 mill and there is no such thing as a bargain. d) Jol and spurs walked away from the deal because of his massive wage demands. DUFF just chose us ahead of them, end of

Shawshank is in my opinion one of the best films ever made. I brilliant film which is suprising because normally a stephen King book made into film usually sucks, this is the exception to the rule
