His aim, according to his confidantes, is the restoration of a fallen giant. That statement will reassure Newcastle supporters, whose excitement at the onset of a new era at St James’ Park is tempered by Ashley’s minimal public profile and previously unknown intentions. “The guy is someone who wants to build the biggest and the best and be successful,” the source said. “He has done that with the businesses he has built and he wants to do that with Newcastle United, too.” With Sam Allardyce, the new manager, eager to invest in the transfer market, there are concerns that a protracted takeover battle could be disruptive, but Ashley is keen to avoid instability. “He is putting a huge amount of money into the club and he does not want this season to be hampered in any way,” the source said. Skysports.com understands Antoine Sibierski has knocked back Newcastle's offer of a new deal. Sibierski is a free agent after his existing deal expired at the end of the season. The Frenchman joined Newcastle from Manchester City last August on a short-term deal and he impressed during his time at St James' Park. Sibierski scored eight goals in 25 games and he made himself a firm favourite with the St James' Park faithful. The versatile performer was hoping to earn himself a two-year deal, but Newcastle were only prepared to offer him a one-year extension. Sibierski is now set to move on and the player's agent Willie McKay revealed a number of clubs were keeping tabs on former Lens. "Antoine has turned down Newcastle's offer of a new one-year deal as he was holding out for a two-year deal," he said. "Antoine had a great time at Newcastle, but he is now prepared to move on. "He is feeling fit and he believes that he can play on at the highest level for several more years. "He is available on a free transfer and I am speaking to a few clubs who are very keen on him. well i am typing from this patientline thing again, this time from ward 2 of the freeman hospital! i should be ok, just pumping anti biotics straight into me and did some small procudure on my balls a few hours ago, came in here yest afternoon and will probs be in for a day or two more! fuck me it hurts having 3 local anasthetics in your balls! most painful thing ive ever experienced!!
