  1. Will he actually leave this time? One of the most tedious stories in football, I hope he buggers off so we can stop hearing about it.
  2. Yeah it make sense he'd stay another season at least and try and win something, cement legendary status here. Seems the type to be driven by that. 3-4 signings, and without many of the freak injury/luck situations from this season, you can easily sell that a memorable season might be in the offing. I do think we need a CL finish and maybe a cup win/final next season to keep the overall momentum of the 'project' going and keep top players interested.
  3. A fair point. A lot of talk about him loving projects and all that and but he's jumped off 2 now before they've barely got started. Did ManUtd offer more 'control'? I've no idea what that would mean, they're getting all sorts of people in so he's hardly going to be the main man controlling things. Craig Hope as usual stirring shite saying something about him not being in Howe's 'inner circle' at NUFC. Whatever the hell that means. Was he expecting Ted Lasso heart to heart talks from Eddie? For us it's not ideal of course but hardly a disaster. No reason why we can't get another capable man in. If somebody had pinched Howe then I'd be worried.
  4. Hopefully as third choice striker next season he wont be required for more than the 10-15 games he can manage. Otherwise sell him in the summer if a promoted club is willing to fork out 15M odd.
  5. Great, I thought he was supposed to be running the long term project here. I guess you cant really blame him in the end though, this sort of thing will happen. Just make them pay significant $$$, as was being said in the other thread. Hopefully it wont hugely affect summer transfer plans and we have someone lined up to replace Ashworth soon.
  6. Tells you how tough the championship is like, you could have a Vini Jr standard player and still struggle to get into the playoff spots.
  7. Vini Jr I'd read till Doku and Kulusevksi hadn't gotten to Vinicious yet Anybody checked how he stacks up against Garrincha's carries into penalty area?
  8. He does a bit of everything well without being outstanding at anything. Except work rate maybe. But that's not something we lack. We have 3-4 key positions to strengthen and Gallagher doesn't fit any of them.
  9. I wonder how many managers they will have to go through before realizing that they just bought a ton of mediocre players and 10th is about right for them.
  10. Keeping Isak fit and not having to have him play half fit is one of the key things for next season. Buy another striker and hope to hell Isak is not a Wilsonesque permacrock
  11. One can only imagine his numbers if he wasn't headless
  12. They were talking about a title charge not so long ago Not so easy to break into that top 4 is it? Especially if your manager has ZERO cojones
  13. At this stage of our 'evolution' I think there should be a balance, in terms of recognizing that these players have been important in turning around our fortunes and laying a solid foundation to now push on; but they're also the most limited ones in the starting eleven now and need to be improved on if NUFC want to get to the top. Add Wilson to that list too. No reason they can't continue to be part of the story from the bench, the ones that stay.
  14. Every bloody time.....it's just what they are. Play shite but knick the win.
  15. Excellent result. Brilliant Bruno the difference of course. Defending continues to be a concern. Schar and Botman had a couple of shaky moments each in addition to LB problems. But at least we're scoring a bunch of goals again these days. Just need to fix that rubbish home form now
  16. Why is that now a yellow for Gibbs White? Asshoke of a ref
  17. Wilson could at least try and keep the ball for a second....
  18. Might be useful to keep Wilson on for some hold up play at the end. He's been anonymous mostly though
