  1. Punishment should be relative to how far over the limit he was, a couple of pints can have you over the limit and make you a drunk driver, if he's had a monster sesh then penalty should be comparatively bigger. The fact that it was a 1:30 a.m. stop makes me think the latter but still depends if he was in "I must be OK" territory or "I know I shouldn't be driving" territory. Could maybe fine him a weeks wages to make a point, with right to review/increase that when the facts are all known.
  2. Who mentioned excuses 🤷🏼‍♂️ He'll be punished, quite rightly, but how severe should that punishment be, maybe we should sell him/cancel his contract eh?
  3. Oh I agree, but scale of punishment is the question, if he was "just" over the limit do you impose same sanction as you would if he had fallen out the car and couldn't stand up.
  4. True, but there's drink driving and then there's drink driving, was he a wine gum over the limit or 6 bottles of champers over the limit, makes a difference to any penalty imposed by court and should influence scale of any club sanction. Unless of course club decide to go "zero tolerance" and hammer him irrespective.
  5. Be surprised if so, case not before the beak until 26th, innocent until proven guilty and all that.
  6. Cold and totally wet through. March 79, Wrexham at home, bloody well had splashed (prophetic) out for centre paddock. Pissing down and blowing a gale, abandoned at half time, writting was on the wall when their keeper (Dai Davies I think) took a goal kick and it went out for a corner, nearly scored tbh.
  7. Try explaining the reason and they just glaze over
  8. If Robin Robin ever comes over, we could take him there, if it's good for dwarfs it'll be fine for hobbitses
  9. They will play as well as we allow them to, we are THAT good these days. City will have expected to win, rocked up, got a punch in the gob and bottled it, we on the other hand are geet hungry.
  10. The tension is a legacy emotion, it's going to take a long time to leave behind that foreboding "we'll fuck it up" feeling/certainty and relax into "we're mint" mode, where a fuck up has become the exception, and not the rule, and need not be expected.
  11. Been busy, not had chance to comment, but Willock/Joelinton were immense, Miggy's like the duracell bunny and Bruno appears to be nails. Please stop landing corners on Shar's head, try someone else who can head a ball where they want it to go. Thought Wilson looked off the pace and appears to be carrying a bit of extra timber. Longstaff's hat-trick - meh !!!
  12. Was a YouTube video I saw tweeted a wee while ago, which showed/explained that very crossover of words. Lass/student who did the video was extremely annoying mind.
  13. Despite the fact that social media has reacted to Saturday as if we'd just lost 4 on the bounce, and I bloody hope the crowd don't get restless early tomorrow as we've continued to look solid (outside of Sat) and we have created chances in every game, two really good one's against Arsenal, just need someone to show some composure.
  14. Chris Wood needs to take a shot at the oppo from our penalty area, the elevation he gets on his sitters means it'll probably come down under the bar (he'll probably need to be aiming at the corner flag mind). Good points PL, btw, hopefully Isak (with Wilson) will provide some "confidence".
  15. We'd probably have to suffer endless replays of that mackem cunt Tueart in the build up (yes, I was there and usual Wembley guttedness ensued).
  16. Christ a politician who seems a bit "human"
