  1. Tis wierd. My dad died when I was 9, but thankfully in my opinion, I have no idea what day or time, so if he is fucking with me I have no idea.
  2. Now what kind of a chairman would replace a respected talented experienced manager with a twat like Souness?
  3. Did you used to babble a load of drunken bullshit back then too? I reckon it was him got her hooked on the crazy juice
  4. Get yourself to Clough's in Heaton, like going back in time, sweetshoptastic tbh I've seen loads of retro shops stacked to the rafters of just sweets in 2 pound? jars. All weighed out in paper bags My ususal order: Cola Cubes Aniseed Balls Bonbons Treacle Toffee Butterscotch peanuts Humbugs
  5. 2nd bottom -> 14th is the honeymoon period. The rise in November is the players playing for their futures. The see-sawing in between is the team's natural level before the window
  6. And they said care in the community would be bad for the crazies.
  7. Eh? They were 2nd from bottom when he took over and were 12th by the start of January, that's a big improvement to me. They see-sawed from 14th-19th in the first three months, hardly a consistent improvement. There is definitely a difference post Christmas. Well if you want to pinpoint a date for the beginning of their rise then the start of November would probably be when they began to show a consistent improvement. In their last match, 4 of the starters, one sub and one on the bench were all January signings/loans And? They began improving in early November, not January, that's all I'm saying. And i'm saying it's the team he's assembled that is responsible as well a him. The rise after his appointment is the usual feelgood factor, then they settle to a bottom half standard, until before the window when some players start playing for their futures. After January, the only way is up. I think that's pretty conclusive
  8. Sure I heard him waffling on about his and the chairman's ten year plan not long ago though

  11. I don't think he would of been that daft, Ranson had nothing concrete to offer
  12. Who did he get in / ship out in the january window? That graph shows they didn't exactly start improving until the transfer window, i.e. you need a good manager and give him the players he wants
  13. BBC: [sam leaves with 2 games of the season left to play] "That will give my successor the ideal opportunity to experience the preparation and build up of matchday in readiness of next season. What an odd thing to say, unless either his no2. is the next boss, or his replacement is already lined up. I heard his departure was arranged a while ago, so perhaps this confirms it.
  14. Is that why they're exes? Are they seeing each other now?
  15. I'd be annoyed if Speed became a coach there. Letting him go riles me more than some of the other oft-quoted mistakes of NUFC.
  16. I wonder if there ever existed a www.leeds-utd-finances.net website when they were in Europe. Or did they just never question where the money came from?

  18. 'Doing a Leeds' is now destined to become enshrined in internet terminology
  19. No this is not a tremendously forward looking thread for next Summer In the event Big Sam does leave Bolton, who do you think would take that job / who could Bolton attract?
  20. Friendly with the wildlife is Toplass
