A view that has nothing to do with your scouse girlfriend of course Like I said, I couldn't care who'd won it all i was interested in seeing was a good game of football which is what we got... No-one enjoys winding her up more than me so your theory is counter-productive. To be fair though, who the fuck wants to have to listen to that lot crow about winning it again. if it was between us and them - fair enough, i'd want us to win obviously... but as we're not in it i don't care who wins so long as it's a decent game. THAT tonight was a classic cup match and anyone who says otherwise has an agenda.

The obsession some people on here seem to have with wanting Liverpool to fail is quite disturbing... It's the CL - we're not in it so therefore I couldn't really give a stuff who wins or who doesn't. My only interest is a cracking game of football and if one match is shit, i'll turn over to the other.

Just gets better and better this one.... Whatever you think or say about the McCanns, if this turns out to be true its a fucking disgrace.

Owen for me... but Joey Barton's turnaround in recent games has been worth noting...

Beating the drop has Keegan set to shop

Didn't you say something similar about Owen coming here? -
First 20 minutes are good. Was about to say the same thing... right up until the point they storm the German lookout post then it becomes weak as fuck. They'd have been better off basing the film on the story of the landings IMO.

Well the jury is still out because the control is taking some time to get used to - it just seems so wrong to point the Wii remote at the TV and point where you want the players to move to, my brain still wants to use a control pad Graphics are excellent as is the game play. The official licence in the premiership only appears to be with a handful of clubs (Newcastle & Spurs for instance). Instead of Liverpool and Everton its Merseyside Reds and Merseyside Blues and instead on Man Utd & Man City, it's Manc Red & Manc Blue. Their kits are plain but the players names and images are correct. Oh yeah and it's Magpie Park instead of St James Park - looks very familiar though Will give it some more practice time this weekend.

Tell me you're whooshing me? I'd have said the same about Buffon... one of the most over-rated keepers I've ever seen. More the fact that Recoba is South American. That was my point. Must admit, that one slipped me by....

Likewise... Baggio was class but Platini for me was a level above.

more chance of signing a 26yr old Shearer Would it piss on your fire to point out that Shearer was still 25 when he signed for us? -
You don't fucking say. yeah, yeah... The point I was trying to make was that over the years, we always seemed to have a world class goalkeeper and it was something we took for granted. No-one seems to stand out these days. Wacky makes a good point in that Joe Hart may be in with a shout soon.... Although i remember Paul Robinson being a young hot prospect that everyone was talking about.. (David James too when he was at Watford).

So did we back then... Mind you even at 33 he wasn't bad, was he?

Have you managed to get a suitable connection through ethernet and just having problems with the wireless element or are you having connection problems in general?
-
So what do you know Craig? Fuck all - it's all conjecture... But there were rumours - know anything 2J?

I wonder if Jonathan Woodgate is regretting turning us down now? That said I think there was more to him moving than meets the eye - think he needed to get away from the North East for various reasons.

From what I've heard it might be worth sticking a couple of quid on it... Real sticking point IS his lass who's a scouser and wants to stay over there. If Citeh show an interest in him I think we'd struggle to persuade him to come.

If he's any ambitions of playing for England he needs to move away and establish himself as a no.1 at club level... My own personal view is that he's not good enough. He's had a good couple of games but it would need to be sustained - we all know Shay will be back once fit and Harper is prone to the odd gaff now and then? Is he better than Carson, Robinson, Green or Kirkland?? Not IMO - he's definitely on a par with them though. The only difference which I've already alluded to is he isn't playing regular first team football when the others are... David James is considerably better than all of them but still nowhere near the Banks/Shilton/Seaman level...

finally....the penny drops This Sean chap should start more threads. Go fuck your collective self. Contributing nought but the equivalent of a fart in a lift, the pair of you. Time of the month? Someone bought him a new handbag....

As Ewerk says, I reckon Torres/Mascherano arriving & Henry leaving has brought them a lot closer in terms of wages, but Arsenal are still miles ahead on the pitch. tbf Mascherano was already at Liverpool when those figures were produced and given the odd deal he was on, it's fair to assume that they were already paying 100% of his wages. I'm guessing Torres & Henry's salaries cancel each other out. Apart from that the only movers I can recall at Liverpool was Voronin in and Bellamy out (Bellamy likely to have been on a higher wage than Voronin IMO). Jan 07 when Mascherano moved wasn't it? Yep - sorry I was going by the article date, not the actual date of the reference figures....
