Happy birthday McDade - so it seems I passed my driving test on your 11th birthday

Sorry, but that is a stance I cannot understand at all. Bellamy was an annoying little shit who wasn't totally innocent in the whole saga that led to his departure, but also proved to be total value for money. You won't get players of his calibre often for 6m. So Newcastle's loss has been Liverpool's gain. How people can be happy with this is beyond me. 152483 I'm anything but happy mate, but the way I see it is that the club made a decision last summer to sell Bellamy on account of what had happened a few months before hand. For them to reverse that decision just 12 months down the line would have been, IMO, quite damaging to the reputation of the club and those that run it. As I said, the whole episode should never have happened but sadly, it did!

If you played for Brazil, what would your name be?

Fucking hell, just done a search for him on Google - he's getting on a bit! -
Have you tried rebooting? 152404 Effectively that's what I did!
-
Anyone who can mow a kid down like that and then drive off is absolute fucking scum! Hope they find and nail the bastard!
-
Yep, one of the tables screwed up but I was checking the disk quota first before running a repair tool as it would have screwed it right royally if we were over our limit....

Doesn't work for them all.... Francisco Ernandi Lima da Silva = Da Silvidas Oh no it shouldn't do! -
Shepherd will love that one!
-
Good luck to him - hopefully it'll put to bed all those daft ideas of him ever coming back to Newcastle. The whole episode should never have happened and he should still be on our books. But it did and and he was as guilty as anyone. Do I wish it hadn't happened and he was still our player? Of course. Do I think we should have made the effort to bring him back? No.

Home to Wigan is our first game. Despite all his moanings, Mourinho will have to eat his words as Chelsea are at home to Man City. Our full list is available here PLEASE DO NOT COPY THEM INTO A THREAD ON THIS FORUM!!!

How about bringing god (David Kelly) out of retirement?

I'm not one of these 'Owen-bashers' who thinks he's a mercenary who is simply at our club for the money, but I'm suprised he made no mention of the fans when he said that...
-
I think there's some silly ruling where we're allowed to say something like: First game is v XXXXXX then it's XXXXXXX away... Just not allowed to list them. Stupid ruling, yes but it's a ruling all the same

catmag's comments aside, I spoke to 3 other people in the medical profession before it was confirmed who all said that you need to hope it's not the anterior cruciate as you're looking at a serious risk of a career threatning injury.
-
Joke or not, it's the way it is so please take note of Jimbo's point. If anyone really finds the needs to let people know, provide a link to a resource who have the licence (BBC & NUFC.COM i believe). Any posts listing the fixtures will be deleted.

As Roeder was the manager it was his decision not to play him. And if he'd come off against Brum feeling fine then you'd perhaps have a point. Getting a bit fucked off with hearing people questioning Owen's commitment to NUFC. He's suffered two horrific injuries during his time with us and when he has been available and 100% fit, he's given his all to the cause.
-
Yup in 1992. 1997 was ankle ligaments..
-
Which take a shorter time to heal, hence why he was back in action 6 months later...
-
Why then was he fit to come on against Brum then not be seen again for the rest of the season when he felt a dull pain he was told was normal? Why didn't he play against Chelsea when Sven said he was fit to do so? To say he shows as much commitment to Newcastle as he does England is laughable. 151617 Erm, perhaps because Roeder decided not to pick him? Fuck's sake, Rooney was available and wanted to play against Paraguay by all accounts but Sven didn't pick him - should we question his commitment as well?

Owen was braver though, I remember Shearer screamed when he did his, Owen just seemed to fall to the ground with no expression on his face. Weird. 151511 Aye, when you watch the slo-mo replay, he just looks down at his knee as if to say "That can't be right", but he never even flinches. NAILS! 151522 The annoying thing is both these injuries occurred aparently for no reason off the ball in matches that meant little for NUFC. I mean, Owen just seemed to be standing one minute, next he's extending his sabattical for another 6 months! Jesus Wept. 151590 I should bloody hope so considering I was talking about Shearer's first ligament injury (when he was playing for Blackburn).... 151611 I assumed you meant the one at Goodison. 151615 Hmmm....
