Longy and Trips for MOTM for me, probably Trips just shading it. Just can't understand what's happened to us. Is Joelinton the key? Still little intensity in winning 2nd balls and a lack of counter. Gordon looks decent still, but demands balls to run on to whereas Miggy is much more or a collect and run player. Isak looked more like Chris Wood tonight which is concerning. Thought Burn looked very slow though and was being turned a lot. We really need to start looking at rotating that LB slot.

Id switch Gordon here to the left flank and put Miggy back with Trips. Get that work going down the right as they seem to work better in building the attack down the right than Trips and Gordon have. Gordon has a tendency to run and advance a bit too far looking for more direct options and then Trips loses the pass to him.

Very respectful 23 Deg here in the smog. IDEAL weather for MAMILs, so I just had a quick spin out.

The kid loves minge and is obviously on form at home. Probably fucked before he's even left the door.

Webb is articulate and has good media presence. I listened to Mike Dean's interview with Simon Jordan last week and it was interesting to hear the amount of pressure these refs are under. They get it wrong and theyre off games. -

Agreed. They used that announcement for Greenwood to use the public as a weather vane. When they realised it was going to be toxic, they had no choice but to ship him out. -

He's done at Man Utd. Just wait til Rachel Riley starts on him. -
Likewise. I can't do regular games anyway now but would love to still go to the odd one

Barnes needs his opportunity. He's had brief moments but he will get his chance.

Last weekend I was livid, we threw away a win and half an hour of bollocks lost us the game. Tonight was just shite from the start. Full credit to Brighton for capitalising. I think they were decent, and took their opportunity. Ferguson is a unit for 18 years old, I reckon he'll be some player if he continues like that. I've never seen so many howlers in our side, much of them going unpunished thankfully but juggling balls around the box, not closing players down on the 18 yard area and giving balls away in defensive positions was something that was uncharacteristic. Big Joe looked legless, he was running but going nowhere. A lot of the others looked half a yard short. Pope just looked nervous. Miggy wasn't the scapegoat this time around, he did a lot of running first half and ended up coming into the centre to pick the ball up because there was a total disconnect between the middle 3 and front 3. But all that said, we need to put all these games in perspective. Villa we tortured, too scared against City but in the game throughout..dominated Liverpool first half but lost the second and now a really rubbish display. Altogether, about 120 mins of shitty football against 3 of what will likely be top 6. Chance to get back to basics after the break and hopefully right a few wrongs. I'm still not worried, just annoyed.
