I remember reading about Kuyt being pissed off that we weren't sure if he was good enough due to the constant scouting etc. In the fragile world of footballers' egos we didn't exactly give him much reason to want to come. Do you think any of this stuff about only ever wanting to join Liverpool is payback for that "disrespect" on our part?
