A big name like who? Ranieri? Allardyce? I'm of the opinion that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Not every big name guarantees success and plenty of "lesser" names do very well.

I don't remember too much about his dealings at West Ham, but all I know is I like his demeanour and I'm sure everyone likes the turnaround in results. He also has experience of the club and all the probable shenanigans that await a new manager (ie Freddie Shepherd )....

Having continuity is a great idea and worked for Liverpool. Chopping and changing, spending a season decimating the squad only to get sacked then looking for another manager is crazy.... I'd like to see Roeder given a chance. Sure he's not a "glamour" name but fuck he's got the team playing and winning with VERY limited resources (ie the same fit players that Souness had). I like the idea of bringing in someone to oversee transfers, as well as having a better structure for the person who'll succeed him.
