Scary stuff and I hope it's treatable. Thank goodness there are people dedicating their lives to keeping us well.

Carroll: There's a man that's been on my mind He's just a waste of time Su-su-substitute Oh oh

Didn't any northerners buy their council houses then?

or a 'knuckle touch' Or a full blown shag.

Exactly this. The difference between the two sides has been far less than the trophy haul would suggest over the last 10-15 years. They're like the Germans, they are good at winning when it matters. Obviously having said that, I hope we beat them in the 98th minute with a combined Enrique/Carroll own goal.

When did we last reach 50 points out of interest? The first Roeder season?
-
Ten points ahead of the mutants, eight ahead of the murderers, equal with Chavski. Time to finish strongly! To be fair we can beat Liverpool at home. If we do that then we could go on a hell of a run and make the Champions League and maybe even win it.

Massive, massive, massive three points.

Just to be clear, I'm not wanking at the limping, more the score.

I agree with Noelie, sadly! This is a classic set up for us to blow it. Arguably it's one of the biggest games of the season for us.

Last night was one of my favourite ever nights as a bitter and resentful football fan. Just magic.

Also, it's impossible to prove that we do or don't have free will and ultimately pointless.

If it's "God" making him better, then why bother with the hospital?

Absolutely. He's seemingly crawled up his own arse lately. I don't have a problem with anyone practicing their religion and keeping it to themselves or sharing it with people who ask to get involved. Anyone that does probably won't get mocked by Ricky Gervais either. But if someone says to me "Pray for Muamba" I think it's fair to respond to that request with whatever level of scorn I see fit. You should be smarter than to fall into that trap though. American politics (and ours to an extent) has just become an eternal cycle of thinking the other side is stupid. It degenerates into "you're wrong, no you're wrong.....no YOU'RE WRONG" which I think we can do better than as a supposedly intelligent species. Replacing religious dogma with atheist dogma doesn't move us very far forward. Keep religion out of education, politics and abattoirs, respect other people's views and don't allow anyone to enforce theirs on you either. Planet = happy.

I follow the Global Secular Humanist Movement on Facebook because it often has an amusing thought or two for the day. One recent one was a picture of a young doctor in the style of a motivational poster saying something like "7 years of med school and you thank God when I save your life!" I'm not a militant atheist. I'm an agnostic but I can't believe how many supposedly sane religious people pray for the most trivial of things (ie when they run onto a footall pitch etc). If I actually did believe in a God who answered prayers then I'd be ashamed to ask for anything while there are still so many people suffering. I'm not cocky with it though like so many atheists seem to be. Everything in this universe is ultimately a mystery and we are merely passing through. That said I am absolutely delighted that he seems to be on the mend. He seems like a lovely fella.
