Player for player we are better than the majority of those teams in my opinion, the only difference is the quality of manager. It's about how you play as a team though and at the moment we do seem to be lacking that. I honestly don't reckon it's down to any discontent in the squad but I think it's more due to the fact that we have six or seven new players who haven't played together before. Barring Citeh, all those teams have suffered slumps when a new manager came in, now they're reaping the rewards. Also apart from Citeh, those teams have stuck with their managers during said slumps.

I concur about N'Zogbia. The one or two times he was able to run freely at the Sunderland defence they looked very uncomfortable. Still, Sam makes a very salient point about O'Neill and Villa last season, one which I made last night

How many managers stroll straight into a team and do a job? Not many. Sven is a fluke in those terms. Martin O'Neill didn't have the best of first seasons last year. After the initial honeymoon period Villa played poorly and only finished above us due to a couple of brilliant results towards the very end of the season. This season they're looking much, much better. I can understand why people would be annoyed at the performances but Christ, give BSA a real chance.
