  1. I think we have seen this problem more than any of the other "problems that make him rubbish" this season. Against West Ham he rounds the keeper and...sends it wide. Too long to think. Hard bit's done, gets confused, blasts it. Against the Arse he's watched the tapes of his miss a hundred times. So he tries to tap in, having again done the hard bit. It's slow enough to be cleared before it gets to the line. Nobody is saying he'll be a world player of the year. What I am saying is that if he figures out his confidence issues and goes with his instincts (which despite the abuse are not as bad as people make out) he will bang them in regularly and there's no need to talk of selling him. For some reason that's ball achingly funny to me
  2. Sort out his finishing???? He hits the ball harder and more accurate with both his feet than any one of our other players. Until his 'poor' finishing is costing us games I don't think anyone has got a leg to stand on slagging him wise. I can remember atleast two occasions this season when he's made a complete fucking hash of putting the ball into an empty net. I'm not saying he can't finish at all, that would be daft, but if you're a Premiership striker you should be able to score from the positions he was in 99 times out of 100
  3. quoted for truth. The level of intelligence on here must mean that most people can see it Welcome back again Leazes. do you mean me you stupid cunt I am not "Leazes". I see you have edited an avatar despite claiming not to edit things and also claiming that I am "leazes" also shows you can't keep what you think is personal information. What a fucking wanker. You'll always be Newcastle onlines little brother, run by immature tosspots Gerld, shirley
  4. Can I just tell you where I am on this...[/Dragons Den] To say Martins is a better player than Owen is grounds for a collective slap off the world football community. He quite simply isn't, even David Blunkett could see that. Martins first touch is piss poor and yes, he can score the spectacular but he has a real problem when it comes to putting the ball in the net from the simplest of positions. Saying that it does seem this season that he has began to use his pace better and is making runs off the ball, whereas last season he had to have it placed at his feet before he could go steaming off down the pitch. I'm resigned to the fact his first touch is always going to be poor but when he manages to sort out his finishing he could be a very good forward for us. If he was currently playing for Arsenal or Chelsea his first touch wouldn't be a problem because they can afford to give the ball away. They have the players who can win the ball back. Until we get to that level it's always going to be a massive issue. If someone came in with £13mill+ I'd snap there hands off then go out and buy someone like Berbatov who I could see carving out a brilliant partnership with Owen.
  5. The Times and The Sun have it on their websites too
  6. Same thing posted on the SMB, word for word. Spamtastic.
  7. If only you'd read Wacky's reply in time
  8. Can I play with Magness?
  9. Obviously, try not to make it sound as if you're telling her what to do but try and make the point that he's getting on your tits and while you don't mind them being friends the way he acts does bother you quite alot. Ask her how she'd feel if there was a girl following you about like he is. She may see sense and have a word with him about it and since it's her telling him to back off he may take heed.
  10. Tell your lass exactly how you feel. If that doesn't work tell him to fuck off and never darken your door again otherwise you'll lace the fuck out of him.
  11. Yer not alone in thinking that. I was expecting a far better game from both teams and at best the Lads put in a lot of effort, scored goals, and got the win we dearly wanted but didn't look anywhere near a team that could compete with the top four. We'll not really find out until we play some top 4 teams but I do think we've got a side that can grind results out against them. We're never going to go and hammer teams because it doesn't seem like Sam's style. Currently we just seem to be concentrating on getting the job done - nothing flashy. If it keeps us in the points that's fine by me.
  12. I didn't think I could love any another player with the name Faye after the complete and utter abortion of a footballer that was Am(a)dy but fuck me, Abdoulaye is doing a bloody good job of changing my mind The bloke is a machine!
  13. Happy with that. I'm assuming he's going to play Geremi on the right wing with Emre and Butt in the centre.
  14. Love owt like this... But I love this even more...
  15. Mike Gascoyne trying to blag a job at McLaren? He's had one everywhere fucking else.

  18. Whatever keeps your James Blunt happy
  19. Currently 6th in the League around mid-November. Got rid of Martins for £8.5mill and bought Arshavin for £7mill, Aaritalo for 500k and Zeefuik for 300k. After St. Mike gave me a £20mill cash injection i've agreed to sign Alex for £1.6mill, Costil for £1mill and Breno for £6.9mill in January. Owen is a machine on this game. I don't know what it is but he's been far and away my best player so far. Destroyed Liverpool almost single handedly.
  20. I was listening to Five Live a few weeks back and the discussion was "Is Formula 1 the most exciting sport in the world?". The amount of people who were ringing up saying "I used to think it was boring but this years been brilliant!" only to admit later they'd never really watched it was amazing He was fastest in second practice and fifth in first practice.
  21. It must really hurt you to see a bunch of thin people driving very fast in cars and getting very rich
  22. I'm sure you'll be able to get the times as they happen from the FIA website
