Calm down man, it was obviously said tongue in cheek.

Think SEW's point is, if he had time to kill on a Saturday, going to watch lower league football would be a genuine option. I go to see AFC Wimbledon on occasion and I'm planning an afternoon at Dulwich Hamlet FC soon too. Similarly I'm quite happy watching League one football on tv, instead of a Friends rerun. My point with CT was simply that he's a Newcastle United 1st team fan, not a football fan. He doesn't watch other teams, he probably turns Match of the Day off once we've been shown (or records it and only watches our highlights).

Oh Wales. (I would have done that tracheostomy thing with a knife and a biro, because I'm basically MacGyver, which by the way, they're rebooting)

How does that go?

Aye, her dads a scumbag. -
Stands to reason, if you grew up near sunderland and everyone else was supporting them, you'd have to be contrary.

Norwich was that. Fuck being careful, lets headbutt them until one of us blacks out. -
The only way the Fat Man is going is if the offer he receives is more than we're worth. How likely is that? Anyone know if Tony Stark or Bruce Wayne are from Benwell?

Did your father turn his back on you as a child or something?

Against a side like Everton, it would make sense to keep the ball as far up their end of the pitch as possible. Yes they're vulnerable on the counter attack, but Martinez doesn't make defence a priority. So if the game is closer to their defence than ours, we'd surely be able to benefit from their frailties? Yes the game would be stretched, but they're a team that's a threat anyway, may as well exploit their weakness.
-
Yeah I'm 50/50 now. It may all click for the players, but I just don't have confidence in McClaren to have a plan for when it doesn't, to be honest.

Would it be fair to say you support Newcastle because of peer pressure when you were a kid, rather than any love for the game? You wouldn't, say, go and watch Blyth vs South Shields as something to do on a sunny day?

He's on the board. -
Nope, I'm just the petrol that keeps this place ticking over. I might be terrible for the environment but it works

I agree. We've the ammunition in Sissoko, Townsend (hopefully), Shelvey and even Janmaat and in Wijnaldum (at least) we have at least one man who's capable enough to take the shot. My worry is their right vs our left.
-
I agree, but I wouldn't be surprised if we try to hold them at arm's length as we did against Spurs and Liverpool, then try to hit them on the counter. To be fair, we have the pace in Sissoko, Townsend, Wijnaldum (and purportedly Doumbia) to trouble any sides on the counter, which should mean our side is capable of taking points off sides who play more expansive football at home.
-
Won't it be the same as before but maybe with Townsend coming in for Perez? Elliott Janmaat Mbemba Colo Dummett Saivet Sissoko Shelvey Perez/Townsend Wijnaldum Mitrovic Doumbia and Perez/Townsend to come off the bench at some point?
