  1. I don't like to criticize referees too much if they're just shit but consistently so, but this guy has been absolute shit in favor of them all match
  2. Nah; gotta sub him on in stoppage time to cup tie him.
  3. JFC Can we possibly ever get a break?
  4. As I see it, that's a terrific reason for us to do it as soon as feasible. Knock that shit off for the cartel.
  5. Murphy looks absolutely terrified to give his name here. and Ruddy seems like he is just learning how to read. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DNYNYOTNqAj/?igsh=MXB1N2NoaGI3M2l3cw==
  6. I've taken a 30% pay cut ($130k to 90k) to move from private to public practice as well, so I'm not entirely opposed to that argument. But these are two different companies in the same line of work, both in the same space in the industry. He's not moving from England to Spain, he is not moving to a more or less "socially acceptable" club (unless you want to get into the Saudi bullshit, which I don't think is anything to do with it and would be a mark in favor of the move to Liverpool anyways). I don't see it as the same thing. But you're not entirely off base either. Fact of the matter is that apart from Real Madrid, Barca, PSG, Man City, and maybe one or two others, there's always a move that can be perceived as "up" or more prestigious. We might get there (if the PSR bullshit doesn't completely derail the process as opposed to making it take 15-20 years instead of the 5 it took the Chelski/ManCity types) but realistically we are not there yet. And to a large extent, I also am just trying to insulate myself from the anger and frustration anyways.
  7. I hate it from my perspective, but could I honestly say that if a competing employer offered me 33% more in wages than my current employer was offering I wouldn't jump at the chance to move? Even if the intangibles at my current employer was great, that's a hefty amount of money and quite frankly for the good of my family, it would be irresponsible not to take that option. Of course, the difference between $100k/year and $133k/year is a far cry from $200/week vs. $300/week. Ultimately what it does is decrease my (emotional) investment in the team / sport as a whole.
