1. Last Fm Radio Player. It's coming up with some excellent suggestions for me and is currently playing Queen - Don't Stop Me Now which I don't know why it picked it for me since with what I have been listening to but it's a classic!
2. The National - Alligator Fantastic album, well in the running for best of the year for me.
3. Interpol - Turn On The Bright Lights For some reason I've never really taken to this album before despite liking Antics. But today I'm really enjoying it a lot.
4. And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead - Source Tags And Codes
5. Mogwai - Happy Songs For Happy People
6. Is it any good? I was thinking of getting a hold of it. Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane Over The Sea. It's finally starting to click with me now and I'm even enjoying Jeff Magnum's singing.
7. Deerhoof - The Runners Four Quirky guitar led (mainly) indie pop with some great melodies and the most bizzare (and possibly annoying, I haven't decided yet) singing I've heard in a long time. I think it's going to end up being one of my favourite albums or I absolutely hate it.
8. I couldn't get away with it myslef on first listen but I there was a couple that seemed like they might grow on me. I think I might give it another bash.
9. Donna Summer, and aye, shit 46737 Hardly 'I Feel Love' like. Speaking of SAW shite, remember The Reynolds Girls with their classic 'I'd Rather Jack'? Christ on a bike! 46738 can't place that one but I'm sure you are right. 46856 I'd rather Jack than Fleetwood Mac! Classic. Brendan Benson - Feel Like Myself
10. I watched the end of Devils Advocate when I got in on Saturday. Cracking film but would be shite without Pacino.
11. Love's Unkind. I can't remember who sung it but it is an awfull Stock/Atkin & Waterman type song from the late eighty's/early nineties. Just on the radio and I've got it in my head now. Bastard!
12. I finally finished watching the Aviator last night (watched the first half about two months ago). I actually really enjoyed it (especially the senate hearing scenes) and came out of it thinking that (despite the fact that he was America's first billionare) Howard Hughes was a really unfortunate bloke and considering what he did achive while being badly afflicted with OCD he could well have done so much more if he'd received some treatment.
13. I actually preferred AI to most of Kubrick's flicks. I've seen Spartacus, The Killing, 2001, Full Metal Jacket, A Clockwork Orange, The Shining and Part (far too much) of Barry Lyndon and the only ones I would care to watch again are the first two. I wouldn't mind seeing Paths Of Glory and I have Dr Stragelove to watch when I get a minute but other then that I couldn't care less about him. I might watch Eyes Wide Shut for soft core porn purposes mind you
14. Started watching that myself but after six months of getting up through the night to feed a baby there was no chance of me staying up to see it through. Despite the brilliance of Brando and Duvall I still prefer Platoon. And I can't really get away with Full Metal Jacket at all. It starts off well and Vincent D'Nofrio and R Lee Emry are superb. But after the training section finishes it seemed to lack direction for me. But then I find that with nearly all of Kubirck's films.
15. Quality album, I was listening to the Virgin Suicides the other day and that's top notch too. Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
16. Dntel - Life is Full of Possiblilities I love Wolf Parades album which I think sounds less and less like Modest Mouse as it goes through.
