was it just me... at the end of Kanye West's performance did anyone else here the word 'Nig**s' get played with a a nice bit of delay and stadium reverb when he was showing his appreciation for Diana? What an imbecile.... I mean fair enough you're gonna hear it at a Snoop or Dre concert but why include something like that at an occasion like this? None of what was on show was my kind of music and I would have paid money to not have been there all day and night today; But fair play to the Princes for what they did today, bound to have done a lot of good for charity.

This is maybe where Beye and Edmilson come in. Cover at RB and DM also. Club captain in a decent Marseille side, Uefa Cup runner up, champs league experience, World Cup Winner, Champs League winner, two tiem Spanish league champion, french league champion...

Can't see Big Sam wanting to go into the new season with those 4, though I'd take Saviola over Owen any day... -
If he adapts well to the prem then him and Taylor = Good in the air, good on the ball, quick, strong.....scary fooking eyes! Exciting times, this could be another Hyypia/Carragher type combo, but in the black and white Good luck to the lad

No you're fucking deluded if you think Adriano would play for the toon, not that he's available! Knowing the history of the club since Keegan, the football we played under Keegan and Sir Bobby, Big Al, the fans who adore star strikers, links with Martins and Emre, Edmilson signing, new takeover, the Premier League, and that he'd be a guaranteed starter - it doesn't seem all that unrealistic to me. Especially the form he was in this season which has tarnished his reputation somewhat. Please, stop it, just stop it now. Thoughts like that are why you are so deluded in the first place. I love the club, others who post here and on other Newcastle message boards love the club, in some strange way, no doubt you in your own puppy sort of way, love the club but at the moment to the rest of the world we are a mid table obscurity, no european football, haven't been able to keep a manager for any length of time, club. Recently taken over by an unknown and managed by a manager who has no history of winning leagues or cups. So please stop, for your own sanity, stop being so fucking deluded and bask in the current revolution, enjoying the unknown we are about to experience. Not wishing for the ridiculous message boards are a place for us to express our opinions. I expressed mine and gave some facts that to me suggest a small chance Adriano could join. The chances of him joining is obviously very slim and I know this. But just because you have over 3,000 posts and I have just over 30 doesn't mean we can't have a sensible debate over it. Patronsing me and calling me fucking deluded and pleading me to stop is a tad harsh I reckon. Even if I do think Ameobi may come good this season haha -

haha, just seen that Chelsea have bid alot more than I valued Adriano at, strange considering he doesn't get into the Inter first team. Call me fucking deluded -

Less than two weeks wages for Owen, hard to believe. Considering that Celtic are the only club showing an interest we should get him if BS wants to. I also liked the look of Ryan Babel Seriously where did the figure of 200k come from? There iss no way in hell he'd be available for that after winning the golden boot at the Euro U21s! Still worth a punt even for a few million. Yeah but he is 23 and can't get a game for his club. Did anyone else watch Righters at euro u21s and saw a really dodgy footballer? The bicycle kick was good, but I thought his movement and work with the ball was really really uncomfortable. Looks a fat bastid also Can I please be the first to label you as fucking deluded? I can remind you that both those players are not exactly first choice at their clubs I repeat, Can I please be the first to label you as fucking deluded? Stranger things have happened mate, remember a certain Mr. Tevez and Mr. Mascherano... -

I'd rather us sell owen for his 9m clause then buy Nugent for 6 mill then have Smith at the club. Over-the-hill bollocks he is. Proper shite.

Are we going to by Viduka from ourselves? No, we are going to look at what players Boyo wouldn't mind seeing paying alongside each other next season. . Is that Rigters any good? I didn't see any of the u21's. I saw a player who looks proper shite on the ball, not the quickest, and fairly fat. He had one of those right place at the right time tournaments, the kind of performances that led Wenger to buying Wiltord for 11 mill. for 200k tho he'd be worth a go tho -
Toon in for Gudjohnsen and Edmilson

You rate Ameobi yet you're 'not overly pleased' with the prospect of Edmilson and Eidur? Never really rated Eidur as high as others do and feel he hasn't been the same since he missed that critical chance against Liverpool in the champs league semi in 05. But Sam knows his game well and he could definately do a job for us. I just feel that last season we really lacked physical presence and fitness so I'm just looking forward to the big african and african-french guys to come and shake up the squad. P.S. Shola will impress Sam out in Austria and will then prove all you haters wrong next season! I can understand why some people like and stand up for Shola but if you rate him higher than Gudjohnsen you're quite clearly a fucking nutter I don't rate him higher than Gudjohnsen because clearly he hasn't achieved what the G-man has or had as much time in a first team but I will not be overly impressed if we lose Martins for 13 mill and sign Gudjohnsen for 8-10 mill. I'd rather Gudjohnsen than Owen tbh as I feel he would add more to the team. -

Not overly pleased by these transfers but at least there are some more bodies possibly on their way. Always considered Edmilson a 'luxury' defender and worried that he might not adapt well to the prem but maybe Sam wants him to do a Campo sort of job. Very good with the ball and vast experience of reading the game, and a World Cup winner also Though so was Roque Junior.... I guess I am just expecting us to spend bigger now that Ashley is here and when there are players such as A. Diarra available for 5-6 million I think we should be looking at this. Maybe he wants to bring in Edmilson (even an injured one) if he wants to bring in another brazilian and help him settle in. BRING ON ADRIANO bahahhahahaha! Get Big Sam's psychologist on and rid him of the infamous paddy k party syndrome -
I can see Martins successfully becoming one of the wide forwards if Sam does go down the 4-5-1, 4-3-3 route. Has all the right attributes there for me, a position where he gets the ball and has the space and time to explode much like Henry down that left hand side for Arsenal. I can't see Owen doing the same if he stays but you never know, we could be playing 4-4-2 against all the 'lesser' premiership teams and then oviously Owen would be one of the main men in that. I really don't know which is why we are discussing this in the early hours of the morning when Big Sam is probably dreaming up some new spells to cast on Dyer, N'Zogbia, Emre and Ameobi as he has done with his old team. I'm just always pained to see potential unfulfilled and even if Luque get's another chance under Sam then maybe the magic wand he waved at Diouf could come in handy after all
-
The thing is though Henry looked much better than Martins before he went to Juventus. He just struggled playing in a rigid wide-left position in a team with a manager who didn't even want him (i.e. Ancelotti after Lippi had left). The comparison isn't that valid imo. At Monaco he scored 20 in 110, this is not the Henry we knew and loved and in the Prem. I also remember him well from World Cup 98. I remember thinking ''this player is lightning quick and looks very good with the ball'' not ''this player will become the greatest foreign striker the Premiership has ever seen''....
-
he showed some bad touches but he also showed some very good touches last season. Did anyone see Henry play for Juventus? he looked far worse than Martins did last season surrounded by a far better team.
-
This 22 year old lad scored 17 goals in his first season in English football, double that of any of his team mates. Previously he played with world class players at Inter in Serie A, a league very different to the Premiership. He had Sibierski and Dyer for company up front (they are not strikers the last time I checked). He was the target man in a side playing long ball football when he is 5'7. He was managed by Glenn Roeder. The man who got a very good West Ham side relegated. He is as strong as an ox. He is one of the quickest players in the world. He has a tremendous leap for a small lad. He has a tremendously powerful shot with both feet. He is capable of making a killer pass. He has skills on the ball. Arsene Wenger supposedly wants him. The man who made Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira into two of the most significant players in world football at a similar age Martins is now. Many fans would be happy if we got rid of Martins for the supposed 13 million pound release clause he has. Darren Bent is supposedly worth 17 million pounds..... Anyone else see a problem with all this or am I just going mad? IF YOU CAN HEAR ME BIG SAM AND MIKE ASHLEY, SORT THIS LAD OUT, TEAR UP HIS CONTRACT, GIVE HIM A BETTER ONE AND SEND MICHAEL OWEN AND HIS 110k+ A WEEK PACKING!!!
-
never said he was quality here, I said at Galatarasay where he won the UEFA cup and a bronze medal for Turkey at a world cup. Big Sam (we hope!) helps players like this rediscover themselves and transforms them into premiership players, something Souness and Roeder couldn't do.
-
If Emre is given license to express himself as a creative playmaker like he was at Galatasaray and for his Turkey team at World Cup then he will come good because he is without a shadow of a doubt, quality. I trust Sam will use his talents in the right way much like he did with Okocha and not as a defensive midfielder or supporting forward as Roeder tried last season....
-
The only way he'd want to come here is if we guaranteed him first team football. I wouldn't like to see this. Look at Liverpool's Champs-League winning parternship him and Carragher. I like to think that Roz and Taylor could be a similar partnership but with more pace. Hyypia isn't the biggest (muscliest) neither is Roz, they have a similar build and from what I've heard and seen of him playing for Czech seems like the calm assured Hyypia type to go along side the local gladiatorial Carragher type in Taylor. I think he would be worth having for free or under a million, but blackburn and bolton have proved with the likes of Ryan Nelson, Mokoena, Samba, Meite, Ben Haim that there is plenty of defensive talent available abroad that could do a fine job in the prem without being 33 and on a high wage...
