  1. No Baines, oh well, this c*** is bigger and the same age =) let's hope he turns out alright. Now let's get a big, quality right back and turn SJP into a fooking fortress!
  2. Geremi, Taylor & Cacapa and Faye (if we get them) could do a job there in the meantime. Sam wants strong defensively minded fullbacks don't he?
  3. Home against most ----------------Given Geremi---Taylor---Roz----Zog Solano---Barton----Butt---Milner --Owen/Martins----Viduka/Ameobi Away against the tough teams --------------Given Solano---Taylor---Roz---Zog ---------------Butt -------Geremi------Barton Martins/Milner-----------Duff/Luque -----------Viduka/Ameobi But we need another DM (Diop?) , a left back (Dragutinovic?), 2 centre backs (Cacapa & *?*) for a squad that would do OK up until january and then with a few more quality men in then we can push for europe and any domestic cup we are still in especially as we have no europe now.
  4. If there's one good thing to come out of this, it's Shola's suddenly enhanced reputation. He'll be loving it. Fickle attitude of some Newcastle fans is unreal... 2/3 months ago Shola was shiter than shite! Now suddenly he's considerably better than Alan Smith?? not at all in my book, Under Roeder he scored pretty much 1 in 2 after christmas 06 and this got us into Europe for last season. He did that with a fucked hip and then carried it on last season until he could barely walk and had the operation. When he puts himself about and is in the mood he is terrible for defenders to deal with and a very useful player for us. When Smith puts himself about he gets yellow cards and a broken fooking leg. If I see Smith in the black and white I will cheer and support the c***; but I would have prefered us spending that money on the defence or even someone like Giles Barnes who has an exciting future (from what I've seen of him last season in the championship) and provide that injection of pace that we have lost with Dyer....
  5. quite a solid defender from when I've seen him in the champs league. Great experience also, let's hope he speaks the inglese or whatever people from Brazil say. Terry got Desailly, Taylz has a CACAPA!
  6. for a start, look at their recent goals ratio. Thank you.
  7. What have you got against him to warrant that sort of reaction? Nothing other than an allergic reaction to mediocrity that's had me sneezing since Sir Bobby left. It's just poor business in my opinion if the 6 mill figure is correct. Where will he play? I'd have Owen, Viduka, Martins, Ameobi before him, and most of the midfield ahead of him. 6m for a squad player with a knackered leg and a shite haircut =/ Where's the unheard of cheap foreigner Sam like that Teymourian, he looked proper handy towards the end of last season.
  8. Bowyer. haha, I wonder what the odds are for them two c***s getting in a fight on the pitch for the hammers =)
  9. I hope his replacement is the wardrobe DIOP for around a million with the rest being put towards the bleeding defence! I quite fancy a bit of Height at CM for the first time since probably Hamamn. We need cover at DM also with Butt being the only one we got. I fancy Emre, Zog, Milner, Solano, Luque, Duff, Barton, Viduka & even Martins to show more creativity than Dyer has done for years so perhaps another attacking midfielder isn't essential for now.
  10. I sincerely hope his replacement is not ALAN FOOKING SMITH
  11. lookin forward to watching Carroll and Martins lead the line
  12. The thing that annoys me is that when Baines is available for 6 million we don't go for him =) Wouldn't pay 3 million for Smith, I agree with the lad who reckons smith could'nt lick Ameobi's boots!
  13. from wiki ''Now, Premier League sides Newcastle (managed by Sam Allardyce) and Manchester City have an interest for Serbian defender. Sevilla will only let him leave for a fee in the region of 8 to 12 million euros. It is likely that he will choose Manchester City over Newcastle United, as Dragutinović dislikes the size of the Newcastle manager's head. He believes it to be disproportionate to his body.'' hehe, silly people saying silly things =)
  14. wouldn't mind Dyer & 2 mill for that big cuddly bear Huddlestone. Could fill in CM and CB and I bet SAm could get him in great shape. Spurs probably don't want to get rid tho =/
  15. Milner's 7 years younger than Dyer and to say that he will never be the player Dyer is baffles me? How can you tell? Look at Lampard, a player who wasn't blessed with pace or natural flair but could pass the ball and strike a long shot much like Milner. Lampard worked at his game and eventually he played in World Cups, won leagues and FA Cups, and attracts the interest of top champs league clubs. Milner is also a player who works at his game a lot in training and shows the kind of professional attitude that a player like Lampard shares. Dyer and Milner are very different midfielders and add different things to the team, but I don't understand how people can say he will never be the player Dyer is when he is still a baby in footballing terms, a professional one at that.
  16. Ah, it's Robson's fault that Dyer showed him no respect is it? Of course. Even when Dyer has been fit, he has massively underachieved imo. Couple this with his off-the-pitch activites and general attitude, then I'm not surprised he isn't winning any popularity competitions. One players underachievement is a level others still cant get to though. James Milner will try til his dying breath and get nowhere near Dyers underachieving level. Its all relative. If Milner plays the way Dyer did from 2001-2004 with the same impact I will be very happy. Cant see him getting there though, or anywhere near it. If we can get better with similar athletic ability and a better attitude then fair enough, let Dyer have it when he is gone. Gemmill is right to some extent about Robson. He let that lot get away with far too much. Bellamy was peddled as soon as he raised his golf club at Liverpool. They act like a big club. We kept the fucker here after he smacked the assistant with a chair and let him get away with further misdemeanours. Similar for Dyer. The level of brainless nonsense relating to (any) players wages is just a bit sad. Dyer didnt award himself that did he? So many want to use it as a stick to beat him with though. It's those people I worry about rather than the player himself. Milner last year played better than Dyer has even done for this club in my opinion. Didn't he also play something like 60 games? remarkable really considering the circumstances in which he started last season, trying to be flogged to Villa.
  17. Technically better than Viduka? Nobby? Milner? Emre? Luque? I never saw all the fuss about Gudjohnsen. I liked his partnership with Hasselbaink. I admire his work-rate and willingness to play in midfield when he couldn't get a game up front, but he's never really stood out for me.
  18. Please give me 3 defenders and a midfielder before taking a look at Ei-wish I'd scored that late chance against the pool in the champs league back in 05-dur Gudjohnsen =(
  19. I'd cry if we signed Alan Smith for £6 million pounds
  20. -----------------Given Solano----Taylor-----Roz-----Baines ------------------Diop -----------Barton------Emre -----------------Viduka --------Owen------------Martins ------------------------------------------ ------------------Given Solano-----Taylor-----Roz-----Baines -------------------Diop ----------Geremi--------Barton Martins/Milner-----------N'Zogbia/Luque --------------Viduka/Ameobi ------------------------------------------------ ---------------------Given Geremi------Taylor--------Roz-------Baines Solano-----Diop/Butt----Barton/Emre---N'Zogbia/Milner ---------Owen/Martins----Viduka/Ameobi 3 different options for start of season provided we got a new left back, the wardrobe, and maybe a centre back or 2 for back up =) Oh, and another passer in the midfield would do nicely....
  21. Pwecisely! We're ganging up on you now, snakey. don't forget that Samba geezer, he's a monster at the back, something like 250k wasnt it for him? young too...
  22. If Dyer ends up leaving then I hope to hear the SJP boos from down here in leafy Surrey. ****ing scum
  23. he has the potential to be, whether or not he actually gets much better is up to him tho. Drogba was good at Marseille yes, but only after cutting his teeth at lesser clubs not scoring that many goals.
