I am at the airport waiting for my flight. It’s been a fantastic couple of days with the purest excitement I have ever experienced watching football. The joy of Germany winning tournaments doesn’t compare to what happened yesterday.

Am having a coffee to sober up while going through the papers. What a brilliant morning.

I still can’t believe that it was 95 minutes of pure perfection and if Bruno hadn’t tried to do something spectacular we would have had a clean sheet. But even then we were solid in seeing the game out.

They are both celiacs and Schär is the major company producing gluten-free products. Fabian sharing the surname and being really handsome does help as well.

I said to Alex yesterday that the player I would be most pleased for if we win would be Joelinton. He was massive today and one of the main reason we actually turned up today. The way he won duels and the way he was celebrating it showed his character. I can’t remember ever seeing a player rising that high after being considered a flop.

Shame for him to miss out, unfortunately a sale that was needed. But good for him to be still emotionally involved.

My (good) family at home were watching and celebrating too.

I think Eddie has won enough matches to finish the season with us. Well done.

I was actually hoping they have some kind of lottery where members can win a limited amount of tickets. They do it with tickets for league matches and it’s the only chance for foreign part timers like me to get a chance of a ticket. But there hasn’t been this sort of thing only the information that you can enter into the ballot depending on having bought a ticket for a previous round.

Any decent pub in Blyth I can pop in ahead of watching Spartans playing today?
